  Missing California Family...What Happened to Them?

  good morning guys,.

  i came accross this article this morning "missing members of 'cult-like' religious sect found alive in california park" http://www.foxnews.com/us/2010/09/19/sheriffs-officials-say-members-cult-like-group-reported-missing-families/.

  but it got me to wondering, was the family that disappeard in san diego ever found?

  any body care to add their own ideas?

  imagine if god gave the gb the authority to rule the whole earth and everyone in it, right now, the same way they govern jw's, what the heck would that be like?.

  after the temporary euphoria wore off (should last a good two minutes or so), the gb (or whatever they're calling themselves now) would have much to do.

  I would only add that piety is its own reward and living by the bible is tedious and confusing. Why not have your cake and eat it too?

  Just saw the news about these people a few minutes ago. Doesn't sound good. There are small children involved. In past similar occurances, the enlightened turn up hungry, dirty and embarrassed after spending several days in a cave or on a mountain top.

  But there have also been Heavens gate and a few other groups who decided to 'drink the Kool Aid' and administer it to the poor children.

  terry and i were able to get togather today for a pleasent visit.

  we disscussed a number of things.

  one thing we talked about was "near misses" we experienced over the years.

  Jackie Evancho (wunderkind singer)

  i haven't seen any threads on the board about jackie evancho, unlike the many i saw when susan boyle was on britain's got talent, so i thought i'd share this for our friends across the pond who may not have been following america's got talent.

  and like susan boyle she was the clear favorite going into the finals, but unexplicably wound up as #2.. i edited all four of her performances into this video.

  yeah, she's ten years old.

  She is an extremely talented and poised little girl. I am glad she didn't win #1. At 10 yrs old she is better off to finish growing up. If she (i.e. her family) needs money for her education she can knock off a real million with a few weeks in a studio to produce an album, ala, Susan Boyle. Mr.Grimm was good but nothing special. He will grind out a living for a while and hopefully put away a few acorns for his old age.
