Typically How Much $$$ Do You Spend Going Out To Eat Each Week?
by minimus ini don't cook so i usually eat one meal a day out.
i pobably spend a couple of hundred a week with food an d drink.

If you do live in a very large home..........
by asilentone inif you do live in a very large home, would you prefer to have your bedroom upstairs or on the main level?.

We live in a five level six bedroom home. With advancing age I also would like a bungalow. It seems bo matter where you go in the house you are either going up or down the stairs. Our bedroom is half a floor off the main level, so not really too bad.

Why Do So Many DF'd End In Some Sort Of Trouble?
by african GB Member inmost ex-jw's df/da that i know end up living a dangerous life.
some get into drugs, prostitution, gangsterism,etc.
as a result they prove the jw theory that says "whoever leaves jehovah's organisation won't make it" right.. it's difficult for me to say this, but it seems like jw's are partly right on this one.. why do most ex-dubs end up in a predicament of some sort?

by snowbird inmine goes back to may of 1955.. i was 17 months old.. my mother went into labor with the last of her 13 children, and i remember pitching a fit because the midwife wouldn't let me into her room.. how about you?.

What was the accepted translation before the NWT?
by tenyearsafter ini seem to be drawing a blank, but i can't recall what the the "accepted" translation for jw's was pre-nwt?
if it was the kj or one of the other translations favored by christendom, how did the wts work around the translation errors "corrected" by the nwt?...john 1:1, extensive use of jehovah in nt, etc.

In my youth I remember us using both the KJV and the ASV and a good dub also had the Douay Version to prove how wrong it was.

Who was the first person to become a Jehovah's Witness in your family?
by RULES & REGULATIONS inmy mom,dad,uncles,aunts,and grandparents were all raised catholic.
they were all baptised and married in the catholic church.. one day in the early 1960's,a witness preached to my uncle.
he started a bible study and later had his immediate family join in.
