According to Ray Franz when the society were sending missionaries out, they were told to go to the 'Christians' first before they went to any people of other religions.

we had a number of posters report on the baptism rate at conventions which is usually less than 1% and rates lower than 0.5% is by no means uncommon.
despite this there is still a positive growth rate in the us (0.71% according to the yearbook) and i wonder how these numbers relate.
i wonder if anyone can help me out if these assumptions are true:.
Baptisms, peak publishers and average publishers are all in the Yearbook. The ratio of attendees to baptism candidates at the regional assembly can only give us a rough idea what the years baptisms will be. And these days it is normally well below 1% at the regional assemblies.
i went to the mid week meeting and looked at the attendance figures on the noticeboard for the three congregations that share the local kingdom hall.
i wrote down the three previous sundays attendances and this sunday (after the referendum) too.

No question JWs love things like this. They will be telling vulnerable people that this shows how man cannot get on together and rule themselves. They will be saying that the only answer is for God's heavenly kingdom, which will be taking over very soon.

i was talking to a witness the other day , she was explaining about false religion, and the subject of paedophiles came up .
of course she was adamant that the watchtower deals swiftly and decisively with offenders .
i was about to ask if she was aware of the two witness rule and how that is a let off for child molesters when l remembered reading on here that now they accept two different accusations from two different victims .
Yes that is what they say now. They have had to change their view on this because they realized how stupid their original policy was. However the fact remains that if there is an accusation against a witness of sexual abuse and there are no witnesses, nothing is done They say leave it in Jehovah's hands.
Good to hear the thoughts of someone who is not an ex JW. There will be many JWs who learnt instruments who will not agree with this latest announcement.
so i saw my mum today and saw her polling card that everyone in the uk gets if they are eligible to vote.
i asked if she will or not and she thought that its still wrong.. it's been a while but what is the stance on voting.
this isn't voting for a member of parliament or in the local council.
