The 1935 date has now gone from Watchtower doctrine. It was scrapped 12 years ago

Some Christians baptized after 1935 have had witness borne to them that they have the heavenly hope. (Romans 8:16, 17) Thus, it appears that we cannot set a specific date for when the calling of Christians to the heavenly hope ends.
i often wondered over the years what happened to a lot of the old posters from this group.
going back to the late 1990s a few of the names i recall...blacksheep, gypsywildcactus (i know she's ok as we're friends on facebook still), onacruise, minimus, veniceit, flower, prisca, bendrr, refinersfire, kent, englishman, shit...dare i say it evilforce lol, snittlesnacks (what a twat), scully, mouthy, talesin from nova scotia, xenawarrior.
littletom (from glasgow in scotland), outlaw, goaty, bisous, uncle brucey (australian character who loved his wildkife photography) - struggling now to remember more names.i know there are many more.
I got out of the org in 1993. I had known it was not the truth for several years, but I enjoyed the social side of being in. So these days, I still keep up with JW news as my eldest son is still in the cult. I like to come on here as well, just to see what is happening in JW land

It was great how this last service, there was practically no increase at all in USA publishers. Hopefully it will be the same this year

There is still growth in some countries, but the vast majority now show barely any increase. Last year in Europe as a whole there was no increase at all.

Putting in a report for a bible study with my son was really the last straw for me, I told the elders after they came after me,that it was up to me how I brought up my son, and nothing to do with them

They have no wish at all to defend their faith now on the carts. They just want people to go to jwdotorg where you have no chance of actually speaking to a JW.
i do bible study and attend meetings.

i did everything right, i told my bible study conductors in advance and genuinely i wanted to see another hall.
The only reason Watchtower want you to attend meetings is to stop you enjoying yourself, while doing something else. The believe the whole world is run by Satan, and that everything is designed to stop you serving Jehovah.

I remember when i was a mini servant, two elders gave me a home call to get me to put an hour in each week for giving my son a bible study. I didnt see the need to do that. Mainly because it wasnt regular lol
