What would be good, is for someone in USA to phone the branch and ask about the report for the individual countries. Would probably need a bit of deception to get it, but would be worth it to see what they say.

My guess is that they will update those figures to the 2017 figures. But it gives very little away about what is happening to the org in any particular country. These are the figures for Britain for instance.
- 65,111,143—Population
- 138,261—Ministers who teach the Bible
- 1,613—Congregations
- 1 to 471—Ratio of Jehovah’s Witnesses to population
- Most witnesses would have no idea from those figures how the org is doing. And certainly glancing at other countries most would have no idea at all if they were doing better or worse than last year.

I think you can trust the figures they have published. After all most are very bad. Like the 2 billion hours spent preaching. How anyone can say they are preaching when they sit playing with their phones next to a cart certainly beats me. The point about the report, is it is a snapshot of what has changed since last year. Most figures are worse, and show how the religion is slowly dying. It is no coincidence they have not shown the individual countries figures. Those figures are so bad especially in the developed world that witnesses would be discouraged rather than encouraged if they saw them.

If as we suspect they are not going to give the report from the individual countries, we really need to ask individual JWs why they think that is. For years the rank and file have looked forward to seeing how their own country is doing, and now they have no idea. Even if the fast facts section is updated with the 2017 figures, they present the figures in a way that hides the important stats.

There is to be no more Yearbooks. The link above was just showing what it used to look like. The org have said that (Significant features) of the 2017 report will be on their website. Certainly sounds like they will not publish the complete report, but certainly hope I am wrong.

I think an answer to the 7% increase in baptisms may have something to do with the developing nations. Most of the bloggers and youtubers reporting low baptism figures are from the developed countries. That leaves several million witnesses in lands that have little or no internet. I agree though its strange. The peak publishers increase figure was low so i would expect average publishers to be low as well.

Personally I do believe the figures. Over time they have reported figures that look awful. After 1975 they showed how many had left the org. They have shown minuses in many countries all over the world. Certainly when writing about those figures they certainly dont highlight them, but they certainly have shown many bad figures in the yearly report.
The problem they have now is that there is more bad news than good news in the report. So as many on here have said, it seems they will never again be showing the detail we have been used to when reading the report. I really hope I'm wrong though.

A JW pioneer can be regular, auxiliary or special. The figures shown on this thread are for regular pioneers. So those who commit to doing 70 hours each month.
