So I guess the question we should be asking JWs is why have the org not shown the average publishers country by country?
They have certainly given us more than many of us feared, but that average publisher figure by country is pretty important. Certainly a lot more accurate than the peak figures which have been published.

Splash. Thanks for your work on this. I did notice there were several counties not included in your listing, namely Faroe Islands, Greenland, Gibraltar, Madeira, Moldova. Was this an oversight or are they included with some of the other countries.
Also if we include Russia in the European figures, that would make the loss even more.

I'm sure the society know very well that the peak publishers is not an accurate way of measuring congregational service activity. But they have gone with it because the average publisher figures look even worse than the peak publishers figures.

darkspilver, thanks for clarification on the USA figures. Surely that is totally dishonest. They show peak figures for other lands, then because USA peak is so low they choose to publish the average figure.
I presume you are not in a position to publish other counties average publishers?

It seems very strange to me that Watchtower have not posted the average publishers for each country. Surely they know that the figure is more accurate than peak publishers which they have shown.
Also what is going on with USA?

My wife was a very staunch JW. She said to me around 1994 If armaggeddon hasn't come by the year 2000 she would seriously think about leaving the org.
Unfortunately she died in 1998, so I will never know if she really would have left. But certainly shows the mindset of witnesses.
earlier this week a new post on this forum announced that the 2017 worldwide annual service report was available on jw.org.
wow - that's earlier than the statistics for the 2016 service year which appeared in the 2017 yearbook last january!

Steve, I think the confusion comes from the fact that you have to click on the 2017 Service report, before you get to see 'Related articles' headings on the right. All it says there is 'Jehovah's Witnesses around the world. You then click on that and get the 2016 figures for every country.
My guess is that those figures will be updated soon with the 2017 figures. However by just giving those very few facts, it is very hard for the average witness to realize things are not going well in their country, or in fact in most countries.

I think the 'fast facts section on jwdot org,are still showing 2016 highlights. It may well be they just havent got round to updating those figures to include the 2017 service year yet. We will see
