  i have been meeting with member's of the kingdom hall, and i have attended a few times now on sundays.

  i'd like to discuss experiences with this group since i'm new.

  so far, i love it.

  Hi Mathew,any piercings or tatoos are a big no no for JWs. They do not want you to have your own identity. They insist on you following their rules to the latter. As has been said you will have been loved bombed. That is what they do to anyone new. And certainly once a person gets baptised you have to abide by all Watchtowers rules. You will find them all listed, just google it. The org is dying, so they are desperate to get anyone new as a member.

  Please make sure you research JWs properly, you will be appalled when you learn more about them.

  I hadnt realized till recently how many guys are wearing the tighter style trousers now. But to say they wear them to show off their private parts is totally ridiculous.

  The bottom line is there should be no such thing as a pioneer. The bible simply says for an individual to do their best at whatever they are doing. But Watchtower love to make everything as complicated as possible.

  contrary to common belief, neither the bible nor the watchtower condemns homosexuality; however, they do condemn the practice of fornication.

  homosexuality is same sex attraction whether such attraction is acted upon or not.

  leviticus 20:13 describes a man having sexual relations with a man, or the act of fornication.

  Watchtower has acknowledged that there are witnesses who have to fight their feelings of being attracted to someone of the same sex. They put it down to man's imperfections. As long as they dont practice same sex, they are excepted as witnesses in good standing. After all there are going to be times when a JW man feels an attraction to another woman. But as long as he does not act on his feelings, there is no problem in Watchtower world

  So I guess the question we should be asking JWs is why have the org not shown the average publishers country by country?

  They have certainly given us more than many of us feared, but that average publisher figure by country is pretty important. Certainly a lot more accurate than the peak figures which have been published.

  Yes thats fine splash and I certainly didnt mean to criticise in any way. I actually did much the same work as you on Europe, but didnt actually publish it. So was great to see you had done it.

  Splash. Thanks for your work on this. I did notice there were several counties not included in your listing, namely Faroe Islands, Greenland, Gibraltar, Madeira, Moldova. Was this an oversight or are they included with some of the other countries.

  Also if we include Russia in the European figures, that would make the loss even more.

  I'm sure the society know very well that the peak publishers is not an accurate way of measuring congregational service activity. But they have gone with it because the average publisher figures look even worse than the peak publishers figures.

  darkspilver, thanks for clarification on the USA figures. Surely that is totally dishonest. They show peak figures for other lands, then because USA peak is so low they choose to publish the average figure.

  I presume you are not in a position to publish other counties average publishers?

  It seems very strange to me that Watchtower have not posted the average publishers for each country. Surely they know that the figure is more accurate than peak publishers which they have shown.

  Also what is going on with USA?
