  I remember when i was a mini servant, two elders gave me a home call to get me to put an hour in each week for giving my son a bible study. I didnt see the need to do that. Mainly because it wasnt regular lol

  ok, so i played the game of putting on my jw apologetic cap for a moment, and thought of how a devout jw could rationalize this whole liquor buying situation.. they could say:.

  "this actually proves that jehovah is guiding his organization!!

  he was bringing this activity of tomo3 to light, and it would also prove to be a loyalty test for all jws, to see if they would be stumbled right out of the truth!".

  There are any number of answers a JW will give. If for instance Tony has his own money from an inheritance maybe, they will say he can use that money as he pleases. He already donates a large amount every month, and these bottles are simply presents for his family and friends.

  sorry if this has already been posted ,but didn`t they say a couple of years ago that they would be needing hundreds more kh`s in the very near future ?.

  I think they were referring more to the third world counties, where there is at least some growth. But of course they need the developed countries to help pay for those halls

  hi everyone, i got the news that the lawsuit against the watchtower for the child abuse issue has been accepted in quebec(canada).

  that means it can proceed further.

  Why bring a lawsuit against the Watchtower Society? They are not responsible for child abuse.

  The Watchtower society is the legal entity that the governing body use to get their work and accomplished round the world. Its the governing body of JWs that set up the policies of the religion, including the two witness rule that regularly allows many sex abusers around the world, stay active, because there was only one witness to the abuse.

  Im not sure why several posters dont believe the Watchtower figures. For years they have shown the sheep the negative figures as well as the positive ones. They have shown the massive increase in memorial partakers, when we all know those figures were meant to be going down. Europe has had no increase at all in the last two years. This is clearly shown in the figures that Watchtower have published for each ''land'' in Europe.

  Ignorance of Watchtower doctrine among young JW's

  i've been having a conversation with a young jw on twitter and have, once again, come up against beliefs that do not match up with official watchtower doctrine.

  if you like you can read the full thread here (you'll need to click on some comments to open it all up).. anyway the upshot is that this jw, and many like her, believe that only truly wicked people will be killed at armageddon - not innocent babies and children or anyone who "didn't know better" perhaps because they didn't get a witness.

  it's as though they cannot accept the obvious injustice of jehovah's morality.. this jw teenager believes that all these non-jw's who survive armageddon will get their chance to prove their loyalty during the 1000 year reign of christ - again, not a watchtower teaching.. i don't really have a question to ask, this is just an observation.

  JWs these days have the mentality not to debate with anyone about JW beliefs. They constantly point toward jwdotorg for people to get answers to their questions. Most witnesses know very little about the orgs past and they just want people to believe what they are told, rather than question it.

  if the watchtower think that these are the end times why dont they employ all the people who used to work at bethel to go door to door or go on the cart full time.after all money is no good in paradise .

  The question is more why did the org not reassign those who were asked to leave bethel, to become special pioneers. The answer is money. The org wanted to stop paying them, and that was more important to them than having those bethelites spend more time in the preaching work. So now it is up to those bethelites to fund their own ministry.

  Never in my wildest dream would I ever see one of those dog gone carts

  i moved to where i'm currently living for 10 years now.

  once in a while, i would have jws come to my door and every single time either i or my husband would send them on their merry way, although my husband is quite rude about it.

  i'm not sure when the cart witnessing (or whatever it is called) started up, but the only time i ever heard about it was on the internet, or someone here talking about it.

  Yes they are appearing in many different counties and towns now. The joke is, rather than helping to increase the number of JWs around the world, numbers have been decreasing over the past 5 years or so. Personally I think it is purely a way of keeping the dubs involved in the org, so they dont stray, while at the same time making it really easy for them to do their time. Also now they are told not to debate, but rather point people toward the JW website.
