The Ori of Stargate

have any of you been following the true path of the ori on the stargate show on scifi channel.

how the ori intend to destroy all the unbelievers through out all the universe's.

fundamentalist type religions like jw's, muslims, and other such fanantical religious ideas certainly are represented by such science fiction stories.

Personally, I prefer Daniel to Vala. I love this show. The Ori story line does make me think of the WTS, but recently a lot of shows or movies do however (Village, The Island), I know that I would have never have thought that as a loyal JW.

April KM - Handbill Distribution

well it is official - the april km has the details of the handbill campaign.

we are to be given 50 handbills each and start a distribution for 3 weeks before the district convention.

we are supposed to cover our entire territory.

I could see passing out handbills in the city the convention was being held, but how many people would drive 3 hours to go to an hour talk at a jw convention? seems like a total waste of time to pass them out.

Scary JW Thinking About the Benefits of Bird Flu

i heard this from a pioneer recently.

"this bird flu will be the next major pestilence.

even if it wipes out millions, that would be a good thing because jehovah will be able to resurrect them.

Sick. It just shows the twisted thinking of many jw's. Would a true Christian would think it is good that millions of people have died?

It reminds me of the happy coments about how the ends is near, and certainly we are living in the last days, when some major disaster happens. What kind of person is happy when they hear of death and suffering?

no, in fact I try to avoid my entire town. I live in a small town, I know a lot of people, so I usually work territory in the city my cong. is located in. This town is pretty snobby, even people who don't live there avoid it.

we had a weekend away a couple of weeks ago.

i took a few classic dvd's along in case the weather turned sour.. so i watched ghost with demi moore, that pottery scene has to be one of my favourite ever..........gives me goosebumps!

but it's not my favourite movie of all time/ i'm embarrassed to admit it, but ok i will, cause i'm with friends!

I've been verbally attacked a few times, one of the worst times happened when I was five. She just started screaming at me and my mom, called us a cult and threatened to call the police. Once when I was thirteen I went to the door with a friend about my age and the lady threatened us and started to throw rocks at us, she picked them up and acted like she was going to anyway, so we took off running. Really freaked us out. All the really mean people have been women.
