  this was sent to my wife today from her old jw friend.

  I see that scripture quoted alot in here and it puzzles me. From the time of God ORGANIZED His people into a Nation He has ALWAYS used other humans to convey His instructions. The days of the Apostles, Peter, Paul and so-on wrote Most of the New Testament. Those Letters they wrote contain INSTRUCTIONS on how to worship God and how to act as a Christian, should we apply that Scripture ( Not trusting Nobles) to them? I think not.

  i have faith that despite how crazy it sounds, most on this board will probably know what i am talking about though.

  i'm on the path to leaving this cult that has been a part of my life for more than 27 years.

  Little toe says be kind to yourself. I recall peter saying that to Jesus once and he replied "Get behind me Satan, you think the thoughts of men, not the thoughts of God." Im suprised for someone who claims to be an anointed Christian you didnt offer him Spritual guidance. Jehovahs Witness do not say no sex outside of the marraige Arrangement, the Bible does!

  I didnt lose my virginity until 23 and have had sex a handfull of times in the last seven years because I was concerned about some invisible old man in the sky who cared where I put my cock.

  You should be concerned about that. The old man in the sky (Jehovah) does care for u and is interested in your well being. That is why He has given us guidelines to follow, for our own BENEFIT. He made you and has the RIGHT to tell you what to do. Sex is a wonderful thing however only within the boundries God has set it. Is it too much to ask for obedience to your Creator?

  i love my cats as if they were my own children.

  i was there when they were born and even cut one of the umbilical cords.

  they are part of my family and yes, i do pick them up, hug them and kiss them everyday.

  hello friends, i would like to hear some stories of becoming anointed.

  i have been for 5 years now.. been a christian for 26 years.

  i dropped out of the watchtower in september and am learning in leaps and bounds since i left with my new eyes.

  i've recently had lengthy pm discussions with a person claiming to be a current jw.

  this person has been above the standard level of arrogant for a jw, raising conceit to practically a defining characteristic.

  you almost expect that when you're dealing with a member of the "elite".. but he goes beyond it.

  People will often act like the person they most admire. If they admire the god of the Bible then they will show the same temper tantrums, intolerance and offensive behaviour that Jehovah demonstrates. Hence the behaviour of Jehovah’s Witnesses.

  I must disagree. Jehovah is not like that at all. It is true that children imate the behavior of their parents. Some even rebel against there parental training. When some act in such a way as your are speaking about they are going against there heavenly Father.

  lets just remember that that person is human. Yes he is supposed to be different. We (JWS) are SUPPOSED to live up to the higher standards of the bible but its not always easy. Who knows maybe that person is not really a JW, or he may be lacking in that certain department. You know everyone cant be a Def D

  i read once that the witnesses loss between 30,000-50,000 members in the united states alone each year.

  i know the numbers for worldwide exits, must be even larger and times that by all the decades of people leaving and you come to a fairly nice size number.

  i realize some of these decreases are deaths, losing track of correct totals or a percentage returning right back into the congregation.
