Trinity pamphlet, - a response & research
by Kristofer ini'm not sure how much of this is old news to y'all but after being handed this literature, i was trying to find evidence on the ante-nicene fathers it quotes in this pamphlet.
i figured, if early christians didn't believe in it, then, to me anyway, the doctrine held some water.
i stumbled upon this essay by eric francke which is a direct response to the pamphlet and very well written in my opinion.

I see a couple of problems here,
#1. You are using Lamson's interpretation of Justin when you could just as easily go to the source and see what Justin has to say.
#2. I don't know how you can dodge dishonesty here. Saying that justin called the prehuman Jesus a "created angel" is a flat out LIE! Yeah, sorry..but that's dishonest. Show me where he calls Jesus a "created angel" and I will take back my accusation.
Justin does say:
"The Jews, accordingly, being throughout of opinion that it was the Father of the universe who spake to Moses, though He who spake to him was indeed the Son of God, who is called both Angel and Apostle, are justly charged, both by the Spirit of prophecy and by Christ Himself, with knowing neither the Father nor the Son. For they who affirm that the Son is the Father, are proved neither to have become acquainted with the Father, nor to know that the Father of the universe has a Son; who also, being the first-begotten Word of God, is even God."
I also don't see anywhere where Justin refers to Jesus as inferior.
Interpretation? I don't think so. Putting words into people's mouths is gross and dishonest. -

WT quoting things
by badboy ini notice that the wt does a lot of quoting from various sources eg.
for their creation/ecolution and their magazines.. do they ever check whether their sources of information are reliable?.
what does all this quoting `prove', when i can do selective quoting that `proves' fairies exist, give me various books about fairies and i could cut and paste to `prove' fairies exist

if you want to see how the WT takes quotes out of context and misleads, check the topic i started called Trinity Pamphlet. There are a couple of links there that might be of interest. There was also a reply post there with a new link I've never come across before. The "Should You Believe in the Trinity" publication is full of misleading quotes.

PMJ, no one said they are the same person. They are distinct separate persons but they are the same God.
There are also many reasons to believe that it is Jesus who spoke in the OT as well. Every voice heard and image seen was Jesus. According to scripture, no one has seen nor heard the Father at any time. -

WHAT IS THE BIG DEAL ANY WAY
by PMJ inthe general feeling on this website is that all religions have gods people in them.so why does it matter to you all.that you believe you were lied too?you show me a religion that is with out fault?show me a religion that has the total truth from the bible?
with out doubt despite what people say the jehovahs wittnesses.have the closest to the truth

I would say JW's are the furthest from the truth. YOu don't need religion. THe Bible is the word of God, Christ is your savior and your mediator, that is all you need.

Lady Lee, thank you for setting the issue straight.
PMJ - 2 Corinth 3:17 Now Jehovah is the Spirit; and where the spirit of Jehovah is, there is freedom. -

How are pedophiles protected in the WT???
by Kristofer ini read a comment on another thread and a comment stated that pedophiles are protected.
is it because you need at least two to witness an event to make it legit?
please explain this to me.

Where can I find documentation of this? Are there news articles? An official WT response?

I also found a link to the writings of the early church fathers that you can read for yourself rather than listen to what other people think they said. I was shocked by the academic dihonestly. Happy reading:
