Is the "Good News" really about 1914?
by rockhound in"the good news" that jehovahs witnesses preach from door to door, world wide, has a definite theme that is different than "the good news" preached by the churches of christendom.
"let the honest-hearted person compare the kind of preaching of the gospel done by the religious systems of christendom during all the centuries with that done by jehovah's witnesses since the end of world war i in 1918. they are not one and the same kind.
that of jehovah's witnesses is really "gospel" or "good news," as of god's heavenly kingdom that was established by the enthronement of his son jesus christ at the end of the gentile times in 1914.

JW couples don't love each other
by Nosferatu inhas anyone else ever noticed this in the kh?
married couples don't seem to show any affection to each other.
however, when a couple is dating, they will hold hands.

i noticed this a lot in my previous relationship. There was a serious lack of affection. Of course I know some of it was due to a guilty conscience...me being a wordly pagan apostate!

wow..this has been one of the most interesting posts to me.
I think it is very noble work of you. I think every bit of compassion you can offer is appreciated by those on the receiving end. I think giving a lot of us insight into what is going on is also a great service you can provide for the greater good. I don't envy you for the "crisis of conscience" you will and are enduring. I wish someone would talk some sense into my ex-g-friend.

How is it that... (PLEASE provide input)
by AuldSoul induring my discussion with death to the pixies i hit on something that he brushed off as irrelevant.
in trying to make it clearer for him why the question mattered to me i stumbled across the best proof for myself that this cannot be god's organization and the bible students/jws have been being lied to from the beginning.. in 1930 over 80,000 professed anointed had no clue that they were god's sole channel of communication to mankind, even though jehovah's witnesses now teach that the anointed have been that sole channel ever since pentecost of 33 c.e.. question #1: how is it possible that god's channel of communication didn't even know they were his channel of communication?.
question #2: if the true anointed brothers of christ have always been god's sole channel of communication to mankind since penetcost 33 c.e., why would jesus need to choose them in 1919; didn't he already know who god's channel was?.

I'm confused about literature cited....
by Kristofer ini noticed that some of the literature cited has references to pages in the hundreds like pg 127 etc.... i know the wt publishes books but are there any discrepencies between the original mags published and the bound versions?.
i ask because when i was presenting some info to a friend and gave her the source, she said, "how can that be?
this is a small magazine with only a few pages and you are saying the pages are in the hundreds?".

Thanks for the info. It all makes much more sense now.

Well, I think the Mormon might win because he's probably packing a bike chain/lock. The dub might be able to use his little briefcase but...at the very end, the Mormon can always take off on his bike or run the dub over..

So they are bound by year?
And new numbers are imprinted at the bottom of the pages?

so it's not far fetched to have an Awake mag with more than a hundred pages because it's part of the bound version?
AM I correct in assuming that?
