Trinity pamphlet, - a response & research
by Kristofer ini'm not sure how much of this is old news to y'all but after being handed this literature, i was trying to find evidence on the ante-nicene fathers it quotes in this pamphlet.
i figured, if early christians didn't believe in it, then, to me anyway, the doctrine held some water.
i stumbled upon this essay by eric francke which is a direct response to the pamphlet and very well written in my opinion.

PMJ, no one said they are the same person. They are distinct separate persons but they are the same God.
There are also many reasons to believe that it is Jesus who spoke in the OT as well. Every voice heard and image seen was Jesus. According to scripture, no one has seen nor heard the Father at any time. -

I would say JW's are the furthest from the truth. YOu don't need religion. THe Bible is the word of God, Christ is your savior and your mediator, that is all you need.

Lady Lee, thank you for setting the issue straight.
PMJ - 2 Corinth 3:17 Now Jehovah is the Spirit; and where the spirit of Jehovah is, there is freedom. -

How are pedophiles protected in the WT???
by Kristofer ini read a comment on another thread and a comment stated that pedophiles are protected.
is it because you need at least two to witness an event to make it legit?
please explain this to me.

Where can I find documentation of this? Are there news articles? An official WT response?

I also found a link to the writings of the early church fathers that you can read for yourself rather than listen to what other people think they said. I was shocked by the academic dihonestly. Happy reading:

Bible-Believing and the End Times
by jgnat inauld soul and star moore, i'm starting a new thread on this topic so we don't entangle black swan's excellent thread.
like auld soul, i am also very interested in how a bible-believer comes to the conclusion that we are living in the end times now.
i'm not questioning the bible here, but the observations that make a modern reader come to this conclusion.. and secondary to that, like auld soul, i would like to understand how believing the end times are imminent change a christian's behavior, if at all.. star moore:.

I'm a Christian through and through but I'm caught between two points of view.. One being that most of the persecution talked about in the End Times seemed to happen right after the death and ressurection of Christ. I think since then, we've been living in the "last days." However, I believe it's very possible that the physical coming of Christ may not happen for hundreds of more years. I think a lot can also be said about each of us individually in our last days if you think about our own mortality, when we die. I think the overall message in Rev is that we WILL be judged and things WILL be set straight. I don't think WHEN is really important. Whether it happens tomorrow, in a hundred years, either way, you will face your maker and you don't know when that's gonna be. All you can do is be the best person you can be from day to day and take comfort in your faith. I think if we are to take Revelation literally, I think the world is going to be in much worse shape than it is now before it happens. Christianity is still predominant. I DO think that you can see early signs now of society becoming completely secularized and religion taken out of every aspect of life. I think in about 200 yrs, it's easy to imagine a society without faith. I just hope God holds out long enough to make the Watchtower's predictions completely moot!
