If there isn't one already, I should build a website that hosts links and articles about all the known victims to the wt blood doctrine.

she's remarried, her life on track.
She's remarried, but i doubt her life is on track. I'm sure everyone thought her life was on track while married to you, yet she most definitely wasn't happy. Things are not always as they seem.

I may have been born in this cult, but at the end of the day, I realize that I screwed up my own life. I chose to get baptized. I chose to marry a j-dub. I chose to be mentally lazy and follow their dogma and religious bullsh$t for most of my life.
I am now mentally Awake! and I see the Watchtower for what it is. My life may no longer be screwed up, but if it is, it is my fault.

Four guys go to work yesterday...
by frozen one ini'm a construction foreman.
occasionally the work i have my crew perform involves entering what is called a "confined space" or a space that doesn't have ventilation such as a sewer manhole or other type of vault.
the lack of ventilation may cause explosive or poisonous gases to accumulate or deplete the oxygen level.

It's a good thing there weren't more workers there. It could have been a crew of 10 that died, one by one.
I think this shows how much people genuinely care for eachother. By the time the 3rd person had gone into the hole and colapsed, you would think the 4th person would start to think that maybe, just maybe I shouldn't go in there. But no, emotion won out over logic because as humans we really do(for the most part) care deeply for eachother's well being.
It's such a shame they weren't more careful. Such a loss for the families involved.

High Def TV ..This is bad
by Connaughty ini recently attended our special assembly day and the visiting speaker put down hdtv because he didn't think we needed it.
he said that we've been watching tv for many years now without it.
i don't know what bethel is going to do when the tv networks switch to that system.

I still use rabbit ears on my conventional TV
I can top that. I bought my hdtv big screen almost ten years ago, and for the last few years since I moved to california, I've been using rabbit ears on top of this monster of a tv. I just don't want to spend extra money on cable since I rarely use my tv. Now as of two weeks ago, my big screen took a dump(I think the power supply failed) If the cost of replacement parts is too high I'll just junk it. It's just as well though, as I have now converted my desktop computer into a tv complete with a set of rabbit ears setting on top of the pc unit.

So...I got duped today!
by lovelylil ini am one of those people who always gives money to those who ask me on the street.
the reason is because there was a time when i was a kid that my siblings and i needed to beg on the street for food money because mom and dad were both addicts.. anyway, i was on my way into walmart and a lady stopped me and asked if i could give her a few dollars ($5 to be exact) so that she could pick up a prescription for some medicine.
she explained that she and her kids have been sick with bronchitis and although the kids were better she was not and had run out of money until her check came on the first of the month.. i can also sympethize with having to wait for government checks to buy what you need having grown up on state welfare programs and i reasoned that $5 is nothing for me and my husband because combined we bring in over six figures a year income.

I was at Carl's jr fastfood the other day. There was a "gentleman' in the parking lot that asked me for a couple dollars so he could get a burger. I offered to buy him the burger and give it to him on my way out. Surprise, surpise, he declined my offer.
It's always about the money, but they are rarely honest when they give their reason for wanting the money.

At the very minimum, I'll stop by briefly. Best case scenario, I'll be able to stay longer then I did last time. As usual, I'm scheduled to meet with customers on saturday, but this location is literally walking distance from my place. I'll be there, though I may be late.

When R. F. Became Sweetface
by snowbird indon't you two know better?.
you shouldn't confuse us old ones like that.. sylvia.

Sweetface's name is Linda, and is only a figment of R.F.'s imagination, who also is a figment of John Doe's imagination. And we really don't know who John Doe is since there are so many people with that same frickin name!

Lowly publishers can now attend international conventions
by unbeliever ini don't know if this has been posted yet but my mom told me that there was a letter from crooklyn that publishers can now attend international conventions.
before only the pioneers, elders, etc could attend.
she said that there was a tremendous amount of excitement among the publishers that they now have the "privilege" of attending.
-
Highlander
Aren't ALL the conventions "open to the public?" So what's to prevent anyone from traveling to some exotic convention site and attending? Even us? It always cracked me up that there was all this application bullcrappy, and "special privileges" to attend.
Once you start researching cult dynamics, this arrangement makes perfect sense.
And yes, as mentioned above, though the application is now available for any baptized witness, there is still the approval process to get through. So in my view, the international conventions will still be viewed as a 'special privilege'. The only difference will be the extra excitement that is generated among the dubbies.
