Get out now while the colateral damage is minimal. If you're having these doubts now, you'll have them after marriage too. Children could be involved at a later time, when you finally realize the mistake you are making.
I made these same mistakes. 7 years ago, I was physically involved with the Jehovah's Witnesses, but mentally, I was on the way out. Despite that, I continued dating and eventually married a witness.
It was a disaster. By the time I finally got my head out of my ass and decided to leave, I had gotten her pregnant. I'm still married to her, so that I can be there for my daughter. Divorce will eventually happen when the time is right. I just can't afford two households at the moment.
You give me the impression that you are probably young and immature. In addition, your fiance needs to grow a pair of balls and tell the elders to back off. They have no business being involved in your relationship. Your religion has no business being involved in your relationship.

The Truman Show, a movie that JW's must hate.
by moshe inthe truman show is on tbs tonight and i know, it's been mentioned before here, but it has to be a movie that gives jw's the creeps.
jw's know something is not right in the wt fantasy land, but until they have that epiphany, that the wt has lied to them, the jw is just left with a niggly feeling of "something is just not right" in the back of their mind.
now when jim carrey- truman burbank- figures it out and becomes self aware of the lie, everyone around him tries to redirect his focus away from his epiphany , then convince him he is the only one who see's a problem.

I always knew that something wasn't quite right with being a jw. It just took me a long time to put the pieces of the puzzle together. Movies like this, and The Village, certainly helped me along.

Meeting for Lunch in OC

New Way of Doing Field Service?
by snowbird inas i was driving to work this morning, i saw a familiar looking car a few yards ahead of me that kept making stops where people were standing alongside the roadway.. when i drove past the people, i noticed wt and awake!
in their hands.. well, lo and behold, this jw woman to whom i once referenced in the link below was "placing" literature with them!.

They're really lazy here in California. In the city areas, they'll stand in front of the kingdom hall, near the side walk, and hold watchtowers in front of their chest. Usually two witnesses are doing this at the same time. The two witnesses will talk to eachother while holding up the rags, and ignore the pedestrians. Some day I'll try and get a picture of it and post here. It's both hilarious and pathetic to see.

Funniest JW memory?

last year at the memorial, an old brother was so shaky in the hands, when he passed the wine it spilled all over him.

We had our bookstudy at my Great Grandparents home. Great Grandpa recently had another stroke, so there was a significant personality change. My grandpa was the bookstudy conductory. As my Grandpa was talking to the group, my great grandpa yelled to my grandpa: "What's he preaching about now!"
