Does anyone else have a problem with conformity?
by milligal inrecently my husband and i moved south to an area known as the 'bible belt' for his job.
we are northerners and from a liberal area.
i just cannot seem to tolerate the amount of 'shut-up and put-up' around here.

Awake & Watching, Mike has traveled to shows in the past but not in the last few years. He hopes to get back on track with that this year though.
Just wanted to bump this topic too. Please check out the link! On another glass forum called Glass Addiction, he got an entire thread dedicated to him after people saw him pop up on glassartists.org. Mike is well known in the glass circles. But we are trying to get him out there so that he is well known by everyone!
Thanks for looking,
Naomi

Black Swan, you have a PM.
Awake & Watching, you'll have lots of fun learning how to blow glass; it is incredibly fun and addicting! So, let's talk about this show you go to in Columbus and what your price ranges are...

Black Swan, define "custom".
Anything is possible, and everything is relative. Yup, Mike is a true artist, LOL.

Good questions! I just got this set up last week so no price list yet. We will be selling on eBay really soon, and I'll bring this thread back up and include our eBay link! If there is something you are specifically interested in from glassartists.org, contact us directly and we'll negotiate a deal that way. But we plan to have items for sale on glassartists.org soon as well.
But please check out the gallery if you get a chance; there is some really cool stuff to see there and you won't be sorry, I promise!
Nice to see you too, LRG! ~from gg/bg
Inkling, to get a marble perfectly round there is a small dish sixed "mold" that Mike turns the marble through, but it's still all done by hand.

[Fluff] Build a better human
by Paralipomenon insomething fun for the atheists and theists alike!
given both ideologies classify humans as the top of the food chain, there are some attributes in the animal kingdom that are much better to ours.
piecing together all the best attributes, let's build a better human!

"And Jutice For All" was the last good album.....
and for those of us raised in.... "Dyers Eve"...
Metallica - Dyers Eve Lyrics
Dear Mother, Dear Father,
What is this hell you have put me through,
Believer, Deceiver,
Day in day out live my life through you,
Pushed onto me what's wrong or right,
Hidden from this thing that they call life
Dear Mother, Dear Father,
Every thought I'd think you'd disapprove,
Curator, Dictator,
Always censoring my every move,
Children are seen but are not heard,
Tear out everything inspired
Innocence,
Torn from me without your shelter,
Barred reality,
I'm living blindly
Dear Mother, Dear Father,
Time has frozen still what's left to be,
Hear Nothing, Say Nothing,
Cannot face the fact I think for me,
No guarantee, it's life as is,
But damn you for not giving me my chance
Dear Mother, Dear Father,
You've clipped my wings before I learned to fly,
Unspoiled, Unspoken,
I've out grown that fucking lullaby,
Same thing I've always heard from you,
Do as I say not as I do
Innocence,
Torn from me without your shelter,
Barred reality,
I'm living blindly
I'm in hell without you,
Cannot cope without you two,
Shocked at the world that I see,
Innocent victim please rescue me
Dear Mother, Dear Father,
Hidden in this world you've made for me,
I'm Seething, I'm Bleeding,
Ripping wounds in me that never heal,
Undying spite I feel for you,
Living out this hell you always knew -

Me vs. the Cop
by Elsewhere inso there i was.... (i've always wanted to start a story with that line).
... walking across the middle of the street.
far from any intersection or cross-walk.

i wouldn't try this in texas... but in california, the new jaywalking is walking down the street with a "J"(oint) in your hand....

Smell like a jock strap or like a perfumed girl? Shower Soap ?...
by Little Drummer Boy inon the strength that my recent post concerning cheetos went to 3 pages and was referenced in at least 3 other threads, i feel that the time has come to discuss another most important topic: shower soap.. this thread topic most definitely falls under the category of intellectual starvation topics, so you should be forewarned that terry will not approve.
heh...(just funnin' yah terry).
to the point: i here refer to a liquid soap meant to be applied to a wet shower poof and then scrubbed onto the skin.

On the one hand, my skin is sensitive and breaks out easily around chemicals and perfumes. I do not care for the “Axe” type of soaps
ummmmm, me too...
the only soap i will use is a pure "castile" soap...
"Doctor Bronners" to be exact.... the liquid concentrate, cause the bars still have too many moisturizers in it.... i personally like the peppermint scent
can also be bought at natrual food stores...
