i was wondering... the sister i have been studying with and all the jw seem a bit strange.
i mean they tell me a lot of stuff, but make it seem logical... like everything is okay.
for example: instead of saying one should not have friends with non jws-- they will say... that i shouldn't get "too close" to those who do not praise jehovah.
DO they intentionally do this? (perhaps to make me want to stay in the ORG)
Or is it something that is impulse? (they really think this way... vs. thinking "every non-JW is the Devil"
BOTH... It's an intentional impulse... a.k.a. brainwashing...

not in elementery school... but in middle/junior high, I had class mates who would take advantage of the fact that I wouldn't FIGHT back (cause even if i felt i could whoop their ass; I would still have to go home to have my ass beat by my father....)...
By the time I got to high school, it was cool not to pledge the flag.The group I hung with were(anarchist punk skateboarders, etc...)
