Hi raylo, and welcome tothe board....
She lives alone (widow) so all I simply did was point out how the ppl of the hall never checked on her, called her, saw if she needed anything......only family did. It'd been that way for years..so where was that Christian love? So of course she did not cut her ties with either my sister or myself. If she needs anything, though I do not live in the same state now, only my sis and I are there for her.....so she has chosen to not turn her back....Good choice I'd say!!
She will not, however abandon her faith..and I will not try to talk her out of it. I learn things from observation, not persuasion. Perhaps she will do the same.
This is to a Tee, where I'm at with my mother....

by headmath inwhen i was a snobby zealous jw my whole world revolved around the wts.
now after being 20 years out, the wts to me is like pluto, it makes no difference in my life whatsoever.. when i read of the bull sh*t wts doctrine i just can't understand how i fell for it all.
i was so gullable.

I could have been better educated but the WTS did not encourage higher education. .
I totally feel ya there... but none the less I take pride in the fact that everything I know how to do, I taught myself (sometimes with the help of books, sometimes, trial and error)
I'm a self taught: Glass Artist (read A couple of books when I first started)
Auto Mechanic (sometimes I have to pull out a Chilton's Manual{had to learn, couldn't afford to pay mechanic's fee's})
Carpenter (actually I paid attention to my father on that subject, while growing up)
I figured out that there's nothing in life I can't acomplish, if I put my head to it... (even if I do enjoy smoking alot of cannabis, it doesn't hinder my ambitions)
