i remembers skating parties at least once a month, volleyball at the park, get-togethers where everyone would play bible charades and sing kingdoms songs, going to the river to swim with the whole congregation after the sunday meeting, spending the afternoon at the lake eating watermelon and water skiing.

it was a great upbringing!

also, i dont want to leave out the strong feelings of eliteness that i had even as a child, of having the truth.

I can remember the Skating parties once a month. The get together's where we would play music and associate. I was a lot of fun. Slowly I noticed them all coming to an end. Sad isn't it.

What Does the Bible Really Teach?

(1) it teaches that jesus is the head of man; that god is jesus' head.

(1 corinthians 11:3) while it is appropriate for a woman to speak to a man or to god, jehovah's witnesses teach that she may not speak to jesus.

while a man may speak to a woman or to god, jehovah's witnesses teach that he may not speak to jesus.. (2) it teaches that jesus is our eternal father, wonderful counselor, prince of peace, and mighty god, our savior, redeemer, high priest, and king (isaiah 9:6; hebrews 5-7) however, jehovah's witnesses do not teach that jesus is our mighty god and teach that we may not speak to jesus.. (3) it teaches that the only foundation which can be laid for christianity is christ and that the teachings on baptisms is part of that foundation, also that baptism corresponds to the ark which saved noah and his family.

1. The Bible teaches that Abraham, Isaac and Jacob are in the Heavens already. ( Mt 8:11, Heb chapter 11 )

The WTS teaches that all pre- Jesus followers are still in the grave and will be resurrected onto a paradise earth sometime in the future.

P.S. : Lets not forget the flip flop false prophecy about 1925, when all the worthies were to be resurrected into a beautiful home in California.

It was over a year with no visit for me. Then I finally blew them away and DA'd myself. Best thing I ever did.

Im so angry right now

well as you all know its official im no longer a jw.

when my father spoke to me he said other than emergencies he could have no contact with me, thats fine im cool with that.

but i just got a phone call from hubby from my dad who is apparently holidaying in new zealand, to let me know that my great uncle passed away last night.

I am sorry for your loss ES. That's just goes to show you how far Mind Control can go. Its really sad isn't it. I am currently taking care of my mom who now has been living with me and my JW family. She is also a JW, but because of health reasons, has not gone to very many meetings. No visits from the elders at ALL. Even during the day while I am at work no one comes to visit her. Anyway someday I know I will lose her due to old age (she's 81) or her illness. The shit will really hit the fan then. I will not hold back anything. God help the 1st elder who tries and talk to me then. Their gonna get both barrels. Hang in there ES, We all know how you feel and are getting treated. Just know that all of us here on the board care.
