i know its been awhile since i've been around, so i just wanted to drop in and let you know whats been going on with me.

it's been a long hard road since leaving the wts back in 06. some amazing things have happened in such a short period of time.

for much of the time i was full of anger at the wts.

I know its been awhile since I've been around, so I just wanted to drop in and let you know whats been going on with me. It's been a long hard road since leaving the WTS back in 06. Some amazing things have happened in such a short period of time. For much of the time I was full of anger at the WTS. In Feb. of 09 my mom passed away. This got me thinking about life. I finally got up enough courage to ask God if there was any TRUTH out there to let me know. HE DID !! The very next day I was at a transfer station and on the ground amongst the garbage was a book entitled "How to be Born Again". I read that book and the rest is history. By the way that book was written in 1977 by Billy Graham. God really does answer prayer!! I gave myself to Christ in April 09 and haven't looked back since. The Lord has blessed me in so many ways I can't even begin to explain. My oldest daughter has found Christ and is doing well. The Lord has laid upon my heart this past year to get involved with apologetics. I have had so much research done on the WTS and its doctrine that I had a good headstart. I have just finished putting together an outline to give lectures at local churches on JW doctrine. I will be focusing on the Deity of Christ, the Trinity and the bodily ressurrection of Christ. I will be giving it some time this fall at Harvest Hills Baptist Church in Herkimer, NY., followed by Mohawk Valley Bible Chapel in Little Falls, NY. I will be sending an invitation to the local Kingdom Halls. Many thanks to Walter Martin ( who is with the Lord now ) for his inspiration from his book "Kingdom of the cults". A great read by the way for anyone to refute JW's on their doctrine. Last but not least my many many thanks to all of you who's post's I have read on many topic's that have given me logical thought to illogical reasoning. May our Lord and Savior bless you all. How I figured JWs were NOT the truth...

i remember thinking growing up that i wasn't sure it was the true religion but because my family were so sure of themselves and so many people believed it that i loved and respected it had to of been the truth.. then, i reasoned that because we were the only ones who fulfilled the preaching work that there was no other way any other religion could be the true religion except us.

plus, we used jehovah's name and didn't take it out of the bible but the preaching work was really the main thing that kept me in.... i was always afraid to really study just the bible because i knew a ton of things might not be right.

otherwise, why would so many jws be afraid to run into a greek scholar out in field service.

I started having doubts and looked at websites with questions about the WTS doctrines. After looking over Randy's site "Freeminds" I ordered Ray Franzs' books. After reading them I questioned the Mexico/Malawi scandal. The PO of my congo said that he would come over my house with the CO who happened to be coming the very next week to look over my info. Guess what?? They NEVER showed. The rest is history. Some months later I DA'D myself.

Need quotes about who the Bible was written for?

this morning i was having breakfast with my wife and this discussion came up.

i remember that years ago the wts used to hint or say that the scriptures were written for the 144.000 / remnant.

the rest of us just kind of tagged along for the ride.

my wife just gave me notes that she took at this past memorial.

in her notes the speaker referring to the 144,000 and what they will be doing uses rev.5:10 as saying they will rule "over" the earth.

when reading this scripture in my tyndale bible it reads as "on" the earth.

My wife just gave me notes that she took at this past Memorial. In her notes the speaker referring to the 144,000 and what they will be doing uses Rev.5:10 as saying they will rule "OVER" the earth. When reading this scripture in my Tyndale bible it reads as "ON" the earth. I then got a few other versions I have around my house and they render it as "upon" or "on" the earth. Interestingly I took out the 1969 version of the Kingdom Interlinear and under the Greek it reads "upon" the earth and next to it in the NWT translation it reads "over" the earth.

I wonder if the WTS deliberately changed this word to go along with their dogma that the 144,000 will rule OVER the earth. Any thoughts are welcome.
