I actually like the SDA's. Particulalry because they seem more loving and normal compared to the JW's. I'm seriously thinking about switching. I wonder if the JW's would consider me an apostate if I do that. I must admit though, I am wary because I'm not sure if I'm suffering from a cult syndrome or something.

Especially for those who are still in the org. who for various reasons, family & mate pressure, job pressure, etc. These folks can sneak onto JWD and get solid information and support.
I love JWD because of the very reason quoted above. Compared to a lot of other sites this site and www.reexamine.org are by far the BEST. -

This is soooo funny! The blank stare of twiddledee was hilarious. I felt kind of sorry for the blokes though. They just don't have a clue as to how to handle situations if they don't have a script in front of them. They looked like they needed to be home with their families and resting from a long day. No wonder they acted like they were in a daze. Poor things. It's just pitiful

Comments that made feel pity at last Sundays WT study
by drew sagan ini believe it was paragraph 17, the one that spoke about the faithful slave and how there are those who wish to be "independent" and that this is wrong.
two comments came, both from elders.
elder 1: so what the paragraph is telling us is that instead of developing an independent spirit we actually want to be developing a spirit of dependece upon god's organization and the spiritual food they provide.

On a personal note, in similar vein I recently received correspondence from an Elder "encouraging" me to return to congregation meetings, etc. He requested I ignore the troubled history of the WatchTower Society and 'develop confidence in the Faithful and Discrete Slave'. The irony of this is that -- while yet a Witness -- I had professed to be anointed...
Bennyk, did you really feel that you were anointed, were you pretending or was it because you made it in before 1935?

Question for JWs still on the "inside":
by Hellrider injust a question: if you are still jws (for any reason, many just can`t leave because their entire families are wrapped around it, etc), but don`t believe in it, and lead a "double life", how do you cope with going door to door?
i just can`t imagine how it must feel like to go out there and try to tell people at the doors or in the streets things you know are just bs!
how do you deal with that?

The other day I went on a study with a "very zealous" pioneer and after the study I had to close with the prayer. I deliberately started the prayer with "Dear Heavenly Father in the name of Jesus I humbly approach you", etc. etc. In other words Jesus was the main emphasis in my prayer. The 'study' and the pioneer was so grateful and appreciative. This is not the first time that I have emphasized Jesus to my brothers and sisters.
Witnesses don't even realize that Jesus is not their focus; and when they are reminded it's like oh right or yes, absolutely. This proves to me the power of Jesus and the real meaning of Christianity.
The only reason why I stay is because of the disfellowshipping policy, otherwise I would be GONE!!! I completely admire those of you who had the nerve to get out.
Amazingly though, back to the original question about field service...I like it. It doesn't bother me one bit; but I refuse to be a door-to-door salesperson. I preach from the bible and could care less if a person takes a magazine. In fact I throw my old ones in the trash!

Comments You Will Not Hear at the 1-29-06 WT Study (Decisive)

Blondie I look forward to this topic every week becaue you give a perspective that allows one to really focus on what is implied in the article. The FD&S have no repect for the r&f. I am convinced that they realize that what they print is hogwash but their conscience will not allow them to change and admit that they have made many, many mistakes that have effected hundreds of lives. It is so wrong and so wicked.

WALKING IN THE PATH OF INCREASING LIGHT - WT STUDY
by Mary infor those of you not "keeping up with the organization"botchtower deals soley with all the bullshit instances of "increased light" on this joke of a religion god's organization.
it asks many drone-like thought-provoking questions as i've listed below.
incredible that these guys claim to be the sole ownership of what is absolute "truth", yet change doctrines like i change lipsticks.

At the TMS the other night the PO who handled the bible highlights dwelled on the role of the Nethinim mentioned in Ezra. He went on and on about how significant the brothers who picture the Nethinim in modern times will continue to have an increased role as the anointed die off.
So maybe the "increased light" does have something to do with a change in the leadership and the F&DS...which is a pack of BS anyway!

reexamine.org and BitTorrents
by reexaminer inin an effort to speed up downloads of some of our larger files, we've set up many of these files with bittorrents.
for those who don't know what bittorrents are, you can find out more about them on wikipedia.. because of the set-up, we've had to relocate some of the files to different areas in our servers, so some of the 'read online' options that we used to have won't be working the next few days, we'll get it back to the way it was soon though, but also give a couple extra download options.. the latest release is the video, "young people ask, what will i do with my life?
" for those who are interested the bittorrent file is located here:.

Congratulations! I know the feeling. I have started to celebrate various holidays and birthdays with my old and very dear friends and relatives too even though I'm still a JW. What I have noticed as everyone has mentioned is the unconditional love which is so heartwarming. It's not the individual r&f that are to blame but the contrived doctrines of the WTBS that are ridiculous, especially when it comes to maintaining our precious family relationships. Unfortunately so many of us were dumb enough to fall for it. It is so embarassing, but clearly it's God's will that they are becoming exposed. The F&DS are false prophets!
Luke 17:23 - And people will say to YOU, ‘See there!’ or, ‘See here!’ Do not go out or chase after [them]. (NWT)
TheWTBS says "See here, Christ's presence in 1914." This is f alse reasoning based on a false calculation!
For those of us still in - soon and very soon...
