i left the jw's when i was 17, so most of these games were played during teenage years.. here are some things i remember doing with my friends during the assembly:.
1. the last clap.
after a brothers talk or when "new light" emerged and the entire stadium would erupt with clapping we would see if one of us could be the very last person in the entire stadium to clap.. 2. the laugh game.
Warlock,
Jonsey, now that's just WRONG. Those were delicious.
Warlock
...what was wrong was what was in them...sawdust tasted better! Now the danish and Shasta combo was the best for breakfast!

Mongolia,
I am right there with...how about the hogies that tasted like cardboard. You had to have about 3 Shasta's to wash it down. I will have to dig up an old photo of me working the lunch crowd at the convention.

Lil,
That is too funny! meeting up with the group to go out afterwards was the best. Half the day was spent on what we were going to do after the convention.

our son, who is married to a witness, has just announced that he can no longer take part in holiday celebrations of any kind.
he is slowly being sucked into this org., and we are heart sick about it.
from what we understand, he has to purge his life of all these "horrible" things (like birthday celebrations, etc.
Lavender,
Listen to what Mariposa wrote...It is very important that he understands that!
Mariposa wroteTell him you miss him ALL THE TIME!!!!! and you love him too

I did the same thing Juniper would do...but, I always made time for the prowl through the hallways. Memories of the Onondaga War Memorial Conventions...Good Times!

i was wondering the other day how many would drink if the kool-aid came out at a future meeting?
you know, they made an announcement that the faithfull and discreet slave had been told that we should all kill ourselves because jehovah did not see the need for us to endure through armageden.
i wonder....30 percent?
ahhh the days of getting line for that dry ass hogie and Shasta combination...or if you had the opportunity to work behind the lines with those gloves and fancy apron. It was my way of bailing out...I was about to fall asleep during the drama anyhow.
