ignored_one,
Thank you....that's very kind.
.
in another thread i posted the following thought, but i wanted to post this for everyone to see and give their input.. the argument that 'truth' never changes holds no water.
according to random house webster's dictionary, 'truth' is defined as follows,"conformity with fact or reality".. the word 'conform' is defined as,"to bring into agreement".. if 'truth' never changes, then how can something taught in science that is considered to be 'exact', later be corrected by 'conforming with fact or reality so as to bring into agreement'?

Wholewheat,
Why did the watchtower teach vaccinations were a sin against God?
This was held as truth.
Several JW children died from smallpox because they failed to get vaccinated.
They were so sure it was bible 'truth' they paid with their life just like they do now with blood transfusions.
How do you justify childrens lives over something taught as 'truth'?
Was God behind this 'truth'?
Do you think God was displeased over this? Or perhaps you think he is happy to see children sacrificed in His name over false 'truths'
Your cult is a deathtrap.
God doesn't spew out this crap, men do.
i always hear at least two stories a year about someone i know who's left the "truth" goes back despite the trauma surrounding their departure.
this morning i heard yet another story.
a few years ago and elder's wife in my former uk congregation abruptly left the organization, surprising everyone and getting a big df in the process.
I think another reason people 'go back' is because the watchtower world has all the 'answers' to them. Everything is black and white. They don't have to worry about deciding anything, all the issues are decided for them. It's so much easier for them in the watchtower, like an escape from reality.
do all of you ex-jehovah's witnesses get upset when you are called an apostate?
you all call each other apostates, so why should you all get upset if i call you apostates?
if you don't like being called 'apostate', what title would you prefer?
Sure, you can call me 'apostate', so long as I can call you 'cult groupie'.

jehovah has to hurry with the chinese population if he wants to give them a change in armagedon.
wholewheat,
If the watchtower is the truth, why do they teach false doctrine?
The watchtower claims that Jesus returned invisibly in 1914.
They base this date on 607BCE, which they say is the date Jerusalem fell.
However, it is well known among ALL scholars around the planet that Jerusalem actually fell between 586-88 BCE.
Why does the watchtower insist on teaching this false date if they are the 'truth'?
i feel that the apostate's claims that rutherford was a drunk to be far fetched.
on the one hand, they claim that he was so drunk that the brothers at bethel shipped him to san diego to beth sarim, where he stayed drunk out of his mind, then on the other hand, they claimed that he ruled the society with an iron fist, that he was a dictator.
no drunk could have ruled the society like a dictator.

JUDGE RUTHERFORD LOVED HIS BOOZE SO MUCH, HE CALLED PROHIBITION THE SCHEME OF SATAN!
"Recently the President of our Association (Judge Rutherford), responding to a question concerning the Eighteenth Amendment of the Constitution of the United States, which prohibits the manufacture, sale and transportation of intoxicating liquor within the United States and which is known as the prohibition law, said: Prohibition is a scheme of the devil, referring of course to the law above mentioned. Some of the brethren have made strenuous protests against this statement." (Watchtower Nov 1, 1924)
Needless to say, the congregations were shocked.

everyone has an agenda lol.
.
according to the march 15, 2002 wt page 14 the "seven stars" of revelation 1:20 in christ's righ hand apply exclusively to appointed jw elders today and since they and the governing body are under christ's direction we should submit to their leadership etc.. .
at the kingdom hall last week i heard a talk in wich the speaker intimated that since the congregations in asia minor all received letters they were organized in much the same way as the wt is today.. what is your take on this matter?
Funny how God tells them to repent.
I guess He must be referring to the child molestations cases.
