  Jesus Kingdom?

  how could jesus say he was king and talk about his kingdom if he didn't recieve the kingdom until 1919 as the watchtower teaches?

  jn 18:36 jesus said, "my kingdom is not of this world.

  if it were, my servants would fight to prevent my arrest by the jews.

  maybe i was just curious to hear what they were going to discuss.

  i went to the two day circuit assembly.

  for those who wonder, its theme was taken from psalms 37:3 it's theme trust in jehovah and do good.

  one thing that always confused me in the watchtower was the meaning of the covenant.

  i have come to believe the reason for my confusion is that the watchtower is actually lost in this area (well duh!).

  their false teaching of the covenant has led to a house of cards.

  when i look back on my time spent in the watchtower i realize how little i learned about some basic themes of the bible.

  i believe this had a lot to do with the awkward style of the nwt as well as the indoctrination process i went through.

  i often took the watchtowers word for something just because i couldnt understand what i read in the nwt.

  Did the movie Matrix remind you of the Borg

  i am going to rewatch the movie matrix, because a member of this board said that it reminded him of the watchtower, and how it showed the wt to be a controlling entity that brainwashed its meek followers while others saw through the facade and fought against it.. the movie stigmata, about the catholic church, reminded me of the watchtower also...... maybe jehovah is using movies to speak to us, especially through r rated movies that they so warned us against..(or maybe i'm a fruitcake).

  my friend elumn8 and i are watching a bunch of r rated movies now that we broke away, and we think we are learning something!

  What should I do?

  this isn't jw related, but i was hoping to get some feedback on a problem that i'm having.. here's the deal.

  yesterday my downstairs neighbor told the maintenance man that she want to shoot us (my family).

  i've known for about 2 years that she has some mental problems and was somehow focused on us, but i didn't realize to what extent.. two years ago, around christmas, we came home from somewhere and saw 2 christmas cards laying on the rug outside our door.
