  Jesus Kingdom?

  how could jesus say he was king and talk about his kingdom if he didn't recieve the kingdom until 1919 as the watchtower teaches?

  jn 18:36 jesus said, "my kingdom is not of this world.

  if it were, my servants would fight to prevent my arrest by the jews.

  one thing that always confused me in the watchtower was the meaning of the covenant.

  i have come to believe the reason for my confusion is that the watchtower is actually lost in this area (well duh!).

  their false teaching of the covenant has led to a house of cards.

  when i look back on my time spent in the watchtower i realize how little i learned about some basic themes of the bible.

  i believe this had a lot to do with the awkward style of the nwt as well as the indoctrination process i went through.

  i often took the watchtowers word for something just because i couldnt understand what i read in the nwt.

  just wanting some opinions on the scriptures that talk about the 'new heaven and new earth'.

  the reason is that jws always refer to that to support their 'two class' of christians doctrine.

  Earthly Hope-No walk in the Park!

  it seems lately, there are some young jws that have decided the 'earthly' prospect is not for them.

  well, after reviewing what the 'earthly' survivors of armageddon have to look forward to, i can see why they'd rather go to heaven:.

  (1) removing and disposing of the wreckage.

  Heavenly Hope

  the watchtower teaches only a few have the heavenly hope.

  men of old such as abraham will supposedly be raised from the dead and live on earth.

  yet, hebrews tells us these men actually had a heavenly hope.
