My 20 year old son got in trouble and has been in jail for 8 months near Sacremento, CA. He is suppose to get out tomarrow and he plans to take a bus to Lake Tahoe to get a winter job at the slopes. They have housing if and when he can get a job there. We live in Nebraska and all my family in California will not help because we are no longer JWs. Does anybody know of a group or organization that helps young adults there? He has no car, no home, no phone, very few clothes and only a little money that we wired to him. (If he can get his I.D. when he gets out)

HELP....My Daughter Has FLEAS!!!
by onlycurious inhas anyone here ever dealt with this????.
i have tried olive oil, tea tree oil, flea shampoo and now mayo with tea tree oil.. they are so small it's hard to tell what they are but i saw them the first time she came home and they were big sand fleas.
she had gone to the beach the week before and then when the school did a head lice check they told her she had fleas.

board will talk about freedom from the watchtower society.
some members even have their handles containing the word freedom.. not a literal prison sentencethankfully, i have never seen the inside of any state institution, .

Just wanted to thank everyone for the support and advice. It is very helpful to know that thier are ones out there that care and support you in difficult times. We have wondered if there could be a possibility of bi-polar or some other mental health issues. Everyone that knew him before he moved cannot believe that he would do anything like that (teachers,friends,neighbors). I am going out to Sacramento to try and find out what is what and hopefully get him some help. Thanks again to all you wonderful loving friends (true friends in times of distress)!!

My wife and kids left JW's 7 years ago. All seemed well and then last week my 20 year old son committed a crime and is now in jail 1500 miles away. It is not like him at all to do this. Everyone that knows him says he is a good kid. We have never stopped having good morals. It could be mental imbalance, could be meth, I don't know.
I do not have much contact with the rest of my family because they have disowned me, however I called and told them about this, thinking that they could help us deal with this. They responded by blaming me for leaving the witnesses and screwing him up by leaving. They do not want to give any moral support to us or visit him because we are not witnesses. I do not condone what he did but I just want him to know that there are people that love him and want him to get help. I think he could have gotten himself into trouble even if we stayed witnesses.
What do you think of all this?
We are extremly distressed over this so please be nice. If you are feeling grouchy and want to tell someone off please write to the governing body or something.

I was hoping that someone has seen something like this before because I don't know what it means, I don't even know if I beleive in signs from God or Satan or chickens. All I know is that it is bizaar. It does not look like anything normal or natural.

I wondered if it was cracked too, but I think that it would have cracked more and had some egg come out when it was boiled.

I am not looking for authenticity or for some one to say "oh great find". I have the egg, it is real and it has a weird design on it and I wonder if anyone has seen anything that resembles it. The fact that it looks drawn on is what is so weird. Duh
