I'm so sorry buddy. I don't know how to answer that type of logic, but would like to say that i truly feel for you and you will be in my prayers.

well here it is folks the response to my wife's letter.
i guess i have become more evil between letters.
once again any ideas as to how to answer this type of logic?

One of the comments above reminds me of a brain teaser a brother presented to me once. "God can do anything, correct? Well, if that's true, can he make a rock so big that he wouldn't be able to pick it up?" It's really pointless to think about. This is a similar question brought up above. Is God all knowing? of course the answer we have is yes. Well, that being the case, how could God know about evil if before creating Satan and such there was no evil? I don't know. Maybe before creation as we know it God created other things. It's not like we need to know, and i believe the bible is on a Need-to-Know basis, which is why it doesn't mention dinosaurs. Anyways, i have no idea where this is going. But it's interesting to think about. If God is all knowing, did he know about evil before Satan was expelled from heaven?

this is only the second post that i've made on this board, so i hope that by posting this a second time, that i'm not violating some rule that i'm unaware of.
if i am, then i apologize to all.. however, this answer to stillintruth is on the fourth page of his last post, and i want to make sure he and as many others as possible can see it.. you will note that i sign my real name to the bottom of this.
that is meant as an open challenge to any and/or all to do something about it.
I really don't see why anybody is even responding to this stillinthetruth guy. To me, it's not worth it. It's like trying to argue with somebody who's never been exposed to the world around them. They have to expierence it, and that is the only way they will learn. And judging from his extensive use of the word "fart" in all of his posts, he doesn't even have maturity to be argued with. So just let it go is my advice. The haughty will be put in their place. I wish I had a good scripture right now, but seeing as how i'm only a young'un, i can't think of one off the top of my head. But i'm sure there is a scripture somewhere in the bible that refers specifically to somebody like this guy. One scripture does come to mind. Sorry, can't think of it, just know what it says.

when my son came home from the meeting, he told me that they were told not to listen to eminem because (in his words) he's bad.. i can not stomach the kind of censorship that is put upon people...aren't these things a personal choice or at least a parents choice.
by censoring everything they make a child go behind their parents back and close the line of communcation which could result in some real harm.
i listened to eminem with my son and whilst some of the things are very offensive it was quite clear to me that although he was talking in the first person, he was actually expressing what he thought societal problems were,(no one think bob marley actually son the sheriff do they??).
I forgot to mention one more thing in regards to SanFranciscoJim's comment.
*****How would you feel if Eminem suddenly became a rabid Jehovah's Witness, and slightly altered his lyrics to condemn, instead of women and gays, "apostates", the spiritually "weak", and the "Harlot of Babylon"? *********
Well, if this were the case, I'd bet the WTBS would be selling his cd's at the literature counters....

I'm hoping that this doesn't degrade my entire name on this website, but I absolutely love eminem. He may not be a lyrical genius. Yes, his lyrics are racy. Yes, he uses obscenities. But do you really think he'd be as popular as he is if he wasn't looked down upon for it?
I love his songs. Maybe not the lyrics in general, but i think they have a great beat and rhythm. I listen to all kinds of rap, whether it be Will Smith or Eminem, as long as it has a good beat to it, I like it.
Yes, he says some very VERY nasty things in his songs. I don't respect him for it. But I love the beat his songs have, and they have NO EFFECT what-so-ever on my thought patterns. I don't hate gays. I don't hate women. I don't think women are toys, or lesser beings than men. And although I don't support the gay lifestyle, I feel a person has to do what makes THEM happy, and if that means homosexuality, more power to them. The real problem comes in when people who listen to eminem cannot distinguish the difference between reality and fiction. I'm tired of people saying this is what causes school-shootings and all this other stuff. Guess what. The entire country listens to eminem. But you don't see the entire country shooting each other. If that were the effect of his music, then I'd assume he was living back in medieval days. I'll assume he's just as popular in Iraq. No, I think the leading cause of violence worldwide is difference in religious belief, not one man who puts up a false image behind a bunch of words that everybody knows he doesn't mean, and then adds a beat to it.

a few months back, i saw the movie stigmata.
the actual idea of stigmata did not fascinate me (stigmata is the marks appearing on the body that resemble the wounds of christ).
but throughout the movie the underlying theme were the lost scrolls recovered in 1945 or something like that.
Thanx for the info.
i printed these questions from a website long ago, and loved them to death cuz they freed me from that god-forsaken religion.
i challenge any witness to answer all of them in their entirety, since the true religion stands against all falsehood.
please note that these are from scriptures in the new world translation, used by jehovah's witnesses.
very good posts guys. i had a longer reply earlier, but it got erased when my computer started acting funny. =( and aguest, will you please provide another link? that one is broken. thanx. =)

But throughout the movie the underlying theme were the lost scrolls recovered in 1945 or something like that. I forgot what they are called....something like the copper scrolls or something. I honestly don't remember. However, according to the movie, a millionare found these ancient scrolls. supposedly, they were the closest record of Jesus' actual life. Does anybody have any information on these scrolls? I do know that the Roman Catholic Church is the owner of these scrolls, and hides them. They say the scrolls are "heresy", and there is no basis for them, yet still refuse to give them to the public. ANYBODY HAVE INFO ON THIS SUBJECT?!??!?
it's my 1st time to post here..i'm basically an open-minded person.
so it has always bothered me to think that there is only one true religion.i've always told this to my mom but she thinks otherwise.
i love my mom so much that i would do anything to make her happy but she knows that i have doubts.
Many people here think all jw's need to be rescued from the religion, or at least that's the vibe i've been getting. Now, i don't know about that. My mother and I have come to the conclusion God judges on heart condition, not religion. There are many good people in every religion. I'm sure a lot of people are happy to be Jehovah's Witnesses, and are kind people in every aspect of life, just as many Catholics, many Baptists, many Mormons, etc. It's the people who suffer that need out. But I say leave the rest in, if they're happy doing it. So gotcha, if you are happy where you are, then stay in. If not, then try a change. God knows you are a good person on the inside, no matter what religion you're in. If you live your life the way you do to make HIM happy, then I truly believe that's all he really cares about.
Why should people turn to religion then? in my opinion, you shouldn't. But that is only my opinion. It's easier to be strong with others who believe the same as you. As long as you're serving God in a way that YOU feel is right and that makes YOU happy, that is all that matters.

to all those who have in some way left the organization (be it disfellowshipping, disassociating, dis-whatever):.
come now, i know the amount of people who "realized that wt doctrine was in serious error" and politely handed in their letter of resignation has to be very small.
the level of bitterness and hostility towards the closest-to-what's-biblical organization has to develop some other way.. what did you do?
*****Don't give me the "if you're so much in the truth how come you're reading apostate web sites" -routine.. I've been there, done that. I started my search for truth with these kind of websites. Freeminds.org was my first source of information about Jehovah's Witnesses. Today, I am a baptized brother in good standing. Goes against the statistics, eh??*****
See, the trick is, you're not supposed to announce your ignorance. If you read all the articles and know the real truth behind the religion, you really shouldn't be proud of still giving your free mind over to the watchtower and handing the rest of your voluntary actions to an organization. shame shame shame.
