stillajwexelder, I'm glad that you have used the words of that other poster and clarified that your thread was to prove that the elders are not guided by the Holy Spirit.
However, to me your post was flippant and I felt it was pointing a finger at the elders, without you taking responsibility for the fact that you abused a position of trust and power. I want to clarify that elders are indeed in a position of power, the bible may say that all men are equal in God's eyes, but when an elder has the power to appoint or not appoint a person to the position of elder or ministerial servant or whatever, or to disfellowship someone that they deem an apostate, especially when one considers the trauma that can cause, then elders are very much in a position of power.
