I was at a book study when I was in my teens and went to use the bathroom, and the family who owned the home said to use the one in their bedroom, as someone was already in the other one. So I did and as I was in there I noticed a magazine on the counter that was only partly covered. I could not help myself, and looked to see what it was and it was a Penthouse. I was shocked and put it right back where I found it and left and never said anything. This couple was a Ministerial Servant, who became and elder soon after and his wife. Another time after I was baptized, and working in a video store/music store across town. We rented adult movies in a section that was curtained off. I was not a very well known Witness, which made people coming in that were Witnesses, not realize I was one. Basically in the time I worked there, I saw dozens of Witnesses rent these tapes. On one occasion, when we were at a assembly that had there congregation and mine there, I saw one couple who rented often and they left the assembly right after they saw me. I assume they left, as I never saw them again that day and I would have noticed them. I never saw them rent in the store again, at least when I was working. In any sense, I freely admit I also saw adult material as I was a Witness. Not a ton, but I would be lying if I said "never" and if I got caught I would have been in serious trouble with the elders. Never got caught though. Am I alone in this, I think not from what I saw and wondered if others knew of experiences like this too ... maybe that was your bathroom with the Penthouse.

Welcome, Elise!What you failed to realize was the exclamation points were referring to the phrase, "while an elder!!!!!!!!"
There is quite a lot of significance, as I am sure stillajwexelder would have explained if he had realized the need. Elders are supposedly appointed by holy spirit. They aren't. He posted proof.

Once when I was the PO I went to a drive in movie where porno was shown. I wore a hat to disguise myself. It was sort of disgusting in places but interesting in others. I think they get a little too disgusting sometimes when they start licking someones a$$ hole etc.

Yes I used to buy soft porn magazines and watch hard core porn outside. The elders found out about the magazines and cautioned me.
As for couples using such material they probably use them as stimulants for their sex lives, like some kind of aphrodisiac.
