Abaddon, we think lions are special compared to us, what about dolphins and every other living thing? So why wouldn't aliens think we are special enough to study?

Have you ever had an encounter with a UFO?
by free2beme inwhen i was about 16 years old, a group of us friends would go hiking a lot on the weekend.
we would rough it to some degree, just a sleeping back and sleeping under the stars.
one night, while hiking into a lake in northern california, we all were sleeping in a clearing just out of legal distance from a small mountain lake we liked to fish in.

Did you get the new tract?
by kid-A injust wanted to run an informal poll to see how "effective" or hopelessly "ineffective" the borg tract assimilation drive has been.. i for one, have not received the tract, and i live in densely populated development.
did anybody get it left in their doors/mailboxes?.

Well I win, because I got three!!! One at the door, one from MiL and one from Mother. They must really love us. So, the end is near huh? That would explain the four page letter I got.

Memorial on full moon?
by Aphrodite intalked to jw mother in law about memorial, df'd hubby reckons it should be on full moon which was friday, but it was held on wednesday.
mother in law says "well as brother so&so pointed out to us, it is the full moon in the northern hemisphere, so we are only out by a few hours and anyone looking into the night sky would think its a full moon anyway.
so they are saying they are having the memorial on the northern hemispheres full moon, but they actually had it just after sundown here which was well before sundown up there so in fact they held the memorial on nisan 13. i just dont get it, is this normal, is it even true?

OK so all of our charts here say the moon was full on friday evening, which it was as I saw it. So it would have been a full moon from when to when? Certainly not on wednesday night. Wednesday was the 12th of April. I'd just like to be able to show my MiL that they have it all wrong LOL.

Thanks for the welcome!
NZ is only an Island off of Australia in the same way that New Guinea is or Indonesia for that matter. It don't belong to us! Haha!

ROFL @Uncle Bruce.
Its actually very RUDE to mix up Aussies and Kiwis. I was shocked and disgusted to realise it actually happens. Do Americans think NZ is an Island off of Australia or something?
A know a plaster is a band aid but I thought that was a UK term.
Americans and Canadians sound the same to me.

Apologia Contra Bonehead 'Awake' of May '06
by metatron inthe latest 'awake' carries the front page title of "how long can you live?
" - and , as you might expect, it offers the usual carefully.
crafted appearance of reason to defend the forgone conclusion of pessimism about extending human life span.

The 'Awake' further quotes a warning from Scientific American "issued by 51 scientists who study aging"; that no therapy is proven to exist that can stop or slow aging.
It actually said that no MARKETED therapy exists. Which I thought was pretty funny. "WARNING: No one is currently selling a therapy which slows aging." hahahahaha..

Advice anyone? On how men think and faithfulness.
by gabriella inthis may be kind of a long story but any input or advice would be really appreciated.. i have been married for three years to a really good guy.
he's my best friend and confidante.
not the most spontaneous person i have ever met (he says it is because he is very comfortable in the relationship).

Maybe you read too much into it. I have several male friends who kiss me on the lips in greeting, we are quite close, but we will never be sexually involved. It sounds to me like you are seeking connection, which I find is common with many ex witnesses having been disconnected so long. You are perhaps misinterpreting this desire for connection to wanting a better partner.
See if you can connect more with your partner.See if you can make connections with others without sex involved.
