  what is supposedly resurrected at resurrection?

  this is an idea that really freaked me out when i was still "in".

  i asked it several times in groups of friends, and i would get two reactions: confusion/not understanding, and silence/looking at the ground.

  if you die, and your body disinegrates, and the soul doesnt live on; in fact, nothing lives on, then what is resurrected?

  Yeah! I remember that memory thing too. So god makes a new you then puts in what? If you don't remember any of the old stuff, your not you any more, so whats the point of even trying to get resurrected? Pffft nothing they say makes any sense at all!

  I say 8 years but really I started to leave mentally and emotionally around 1995. My Hubby was DF'd last year for saying to the elders on the phone that he didn't know if evolution was true or not and refusing to meet about it. The elders recently told my mum she should treat me the same as him so I guess they regard me as DA'd.

  my sister-in-law is recently divorced and went to a witness online dating site.

  she mentioned that many of the witnesses specified that they wanted a white or latino only.

  of course there is nothing wrong with this (personal preference), but i found it interesting.

  they will take advantage of you, "but brother".

  they will use your good credit, your good name, and then beg off on any deal you might have had, legal or on their word........................whose next?.

  Weirdest People you've met while Witnessing!!! {Nut cases}

  i once called on a guy who invited us straight in...then told us he was "lazarus son of god.

  " he had a cazy look in his eye, and would repeat this line every few minutes.

  the brother with me was trying to "reason from the scriptures" that he in fact could not be lazarus...i just wanted to leave.

  lol, so good to read some stuff that makes me laugh, these stories are awesome, unfortunately I dont think I have any to add.

  Actually I do remember a lady I met as a teenager. I went D2D with my best friend and this lady told us she used to go to meetings but the elders thought she had a demon, so they went through all of her things but couldn't find anything. Eventually she left and joined the mormons because they "believed basically the same thing but had better stuff for her kids like basket ball hoops and get togethers". Funny we weren't scared of her and stayed for a good long chat, quite interesting really. Not quite weird though, made us think.

  Recording Judicial Committee meetings........and having fun!

  the 'flock' book (elders manual) makes this quite clear and upon arriving at your judicial hearing one of the first questions you will be asked is whether you have any recording/transmitting equipment with you.. however, most jw's will have never seen - or even heard of - the 'flock' book.

  do a search on the wt cd on recording meetings and you will see that it all pertains to the recording of meetings at the kingdom hall and conventions and that any brother wishing to make such recordings is free to do so so long as the recording equipment is not attached to the society's equipment.

  the one question of propriety that is raised has to do with recording prayers.
