White Dove's right about the rash thing. I used cloth for a while, but where we lived, it was always so humid that I had a hard time keeping the diaper rash in check. Switched to disposables and everybody was much happier.

Cloth Diapers

we had a long discussion last night about disposable diapers vs. cloth diapers.
i know this decision can wait but i just like talking about my expectations early rather than end up with conflict later on.. i want to use cloth diapers and he thinks disposables are the way to go.

Considering that there's still a tendency among the general population to lump massage therapy in with prostitution, why in the world WOULDN'T a JW? And considering that perception and how it might make them look, why would they allow someone to get or give massage?

I've wondered the same thing, Carla, because JWs seem so prudishly consumed with how something might be perceived. A lot of people still equate therapeutic massage with massage parlors. I mean, if a man can't be alone in the house with his sister-in-law and has to hide (recent thread), what would they think of being naked under a sheet, alone, with touching? Oh, horrors! Not to mention energy work, which some people think is witchcraft.

Good ideas! I also like to say things like "that group's beliefs" or that "church's doctrine". Neither of those go over very well, either. I just wondered if they have anything official so that I can be sure NOT to use it. Sometimes hubby slips a little loaded language in, like "overcoming" my "objections". Then I try to get him to explain how a simple question is an objection and just WTF does he think he's overcoming.

Labeling us as a cult is the doctors perogative. It doesn't mean that he is correct, only that he has an opinion of us. He is not correct but none the less
If it fits the definition of a cult, then it is a cult. That would be a fact, not an opinion. This writer clearly does not understand the difference between fact and opinion. Just another example of misusing words. I guess they have divine inspiration on the dictionary too.
