  during my watchtower days, from their 'college level education', i had the impression that all street drugs were terribly addictive, as soon as someone did a drug one time, he was hooked.

  that drugs reduced people to souless protoplasm.

  hehehe...this is GOOD! Thanks for all the ideas, really got my imagination going.

  Now the element of surprise IS back in the picture...I told Katie I'm not gonna give her even a teensy weensy little clue about the "how," although she has a pretty good idea of the "when."

  Got the ring today...we shopped together online and I went to the local jeweler. Had to ask Katie which part was the engagement ring, and which was the wedding band. She said she'd explain it to me when she flies up here in 2 weeks. LOL

  You said "Living a lie is not living at all." It's simply incredible that so many of us spent so many years, sometimes decades, thinking that we were alive. And, for some of us, even after we began to suspect the deceivous nature of the org, we still allowed ourselves to be under their control, frozen with fear and indecision.

  hi everyone, tink wanted me to say "hey" to everyone and that she really appreciates everyone caring so much about how she is doing.

  she came home yesterday at about 30mph..lol..(tried very hard to steer clear of the bumps) and is confined to the downstairs for now.

  her pain is subsiding, which is great considering it is only two days past her surgery.

  Wildabeerman.....I feel your pain, man. All my fam and friends were dubs...when I left, it was like walking butt naked into a wilderness. Pieces of my soul were ripped away, I could almost see the blood pouring out of the wounds.

  All I can say is, keep hanging here with the rest of us, we understand, and the more you share, the faster the healing will come. It has certainly proved true for me; how I feel now is like night and day to the wretched condition I was in when I came here less than 3 months ago.

  BTW, I too closed off a post or left chat more than once because I was crying so hard....and that's OK too.
