You think the people in Iraq will have their "own voice"??? Jesus, are you ignorant. In one day, I'd show you exactly who has a "voice" in that country....just like here in Brazil. Who has the power now? Organized crime. Instead of having one murderous dictator, now they will have hundreds of warring factions...while the U.S. opens it's pretty nice little market places, so the golden arches can be seen on every street corner. All the while, as John & Jane Q. Jones of U.S.A. sit comfortably in their Lazy-Boy recliners and thinking they are doing "good in the world", the government of the U.S. is openly negotiating and recognizing these "organized crime cartels and mafia (yes, Drug Lords too) so that they (the U.S.) may do "business" in their countries. So instead of having 1 Saddam Hussein, you now have 20 to 100 of them.
Come down here, let me show you exactly what "really" goes on, if you are brave enough how about "live what goes on"...and just like those who have come down here, you will leave with an entire "new perception" as to what the affects of U.S. policy is. I guarantee it. I'd be happy to enlighten you.

What the hell do you know about where I've lived, country boy? Please state the 17 prior countries I've called home in the last 10 years, then state the one's you've "lived and experienced".
In fact, please give us your knowledge and wisdom out of your own grand experience of dealing with nations who have been affected by U.S. foreign policy. Any personal testimonies that you would like to share with the board? Experiences of the average citizen of such nations you wish to convey? How about your dealings with those impovrished or been affected by U.S. bullets and bombs? Tell us of your daily travels in to ghettos, favelas, and ficas of this world...that are directly affected by U.S. trading practices or debt control, or their dealing with the local crime syndicates. Please, do so.

There's a difference between knowing the path, and walking the path....many here haven't walked past their own front yard...and rely on their own national news media to supply them with information. You know, the same news media that is brought to you by Budweizer beer, and Ford motor company, and Microsoft.
By the way, I have lived in countries in which they do cut your limbs off. The same ones that the U.S. doesn't recognize, because such countries do not offer any "commercial market frontiers". Or ones that the U.S. does recognize, but wheel and deal with corrupt leaders and organzed crime syndicates.

Another child waving an Amercan flag in her own country, who will grow up completely unaware that her culture and traditions have been raped by the interests of free-markets and corporate interests of the U.S.A.
Isn't just wonderful, that once you beat people in to a form of submission with your bullets and bombs, they begin to "think and act" like you do? Isn't grand that this is how "peace and freedom" is accomplished, by everyone in the world denying their cultural and traditional background so they may wave the Stars and Stripes?
Isn't it ignorant of you to think that this is a way to accomplish peace? That you still sit there and wonder why people fly planes in to your skyscrapers? With the majority of the U.S. populace with their heads stuck in the sand....still....in the next 10 years when these opressed people begin to retaliate(more), I won't be the least bit suprised.

RIVER - the police already arrested three suspects involved in the actions of vandalism that had shocked the city this morning. A couple(meaning more than 2), that according to the policemen of 22º BPM (Benfica), participated in the attacks of buses at Brazil Avenue, was imprisoned in the New Slum quarter Holland. The suspects that had been apprehended had stolen a Twister motorcycle, a pistol 762 and one kilo of cocaine. The occurrence and the inquiries are the position of 21ª DP (Bonsucesso). What the article fails to mention (due to censorship) is that a building not more than 200 yards from my place had 2 grenades tossed inside of the lobby...in which the lobby was decimated. The reason as to why this was not reported officially, is because there are still a great deal of tourists in the area (left over from Carnaval) and they wish not to scare them away. Wonderful eh? However they do mention the buses and cars that were torched by these roving drug gangs.

As opposed to those people that peddle two magazine and some books about how their "God Jehovah" only wuvs THEIR religion? Then have articles devoted about how nasty all churches are? With pictures of priests and churches being destroyed? Mosques? Temples?
That their "god jehovah" is going to kill billions and you "praise" him for that, because he only accepts you?
This is coming from a person whose literature has countless examples of pictures of people being killed at "armageddon", (men-women-children-cats-dogs)...with "smiling" JW's in the background?

16 years old when I was thrown out myself, and I was still in Highschool! Same story, had a car and lived in it for 2 months before a counselor from my school notified a "christian" family who accepted me in to their home.
Put it this way, I was a 3.7 gpa student and never ever caused any grief for my home. Never got in trouble at school or outside of school. I worked 4 days a week at a fast food joint, and was involved with various school activities. I was a straight arrow good kid.
The family who took me in thought the situation ludricous and contacted my mother to varify my story...sure enough they were absolutely shocked that I was thrown out for attending a christian (Presbyterian) youth group.
This is a primary reason I show no sympathy for JW's and their whiney attitude about "religous persecution". In my mind, with my experience to this day, I laugh my ass off whenever I hear a story about their "troubles" in various nations. No tears here, what goes around comes around.
