Good to know. A Jehovah's Witness is disfellowship only because he/she does not repent of a wrong action. Therefore, you cannot assume that when someone commits a mistake he is automatically disfellowship. Such a person is helped to stop the wrong behavior in the first place.

a pimo elder is in the middle of an event where a former co allegedly kissed a brother from another hall.. the co denied it so the other elders are frustrated because they can't have a judicial meeting.
if true, can he be disfellowshipped?

Reorganization Branches Belgium and The Netherlands
by Gorbatchov inthe belgium branche of jw in kraainem will be closed.. the netherlands branche of jw in emmen will be reorganized into an ict devolpment office.. all the oldtimers jw staff in emmen is told they have to leave, they are dismissed.. of course it will be explained that the organization is on the move, a blessing from jehovah.. gorby.

- Belgische kringopzieners zullen in de nabije toekomst ook gemeenten in Nederland bedienen en vise versa.
- zij krijgen elk een auto van het Wachttoren Genootschap (naar verluidt voor iedereen hetzelfde type wagen).
- verder wordt er voor hen in een woonst voorzien die onderling wisselbaar wordt, afhankelijk waar ze dienen (bv woonst aan Kninkrijkszaal enz.).

Why is Ray Franz the only GB member to have ever resigned?
by yadda yadda 2 init's always seemed a bit odd to me that ray franz is the only gb member to have ever resigned, particularly for such a controversial religion.. we know from ray franz's books that there is often debate amongst the gb about new ideas sometimes introduced and often they are quite divided in their opinions.. i am not sure when the "governing body" officially began (wikipedia's explanation is messy) but it was quite a few decades ago.
there have been dozens of members of the gb since it's creation (does anyone know the exact total number?).
one would think that there would have been a few more disgruntled gb members over the years who would have resigned if the gb voted against some proposal they felt very strongly about.

2008 WT Library Question (1st JWN posting too!)
by yknot inokay, i haven't been really paying attention to all the letters read to the congregation in the last two month.. this week it was some stupid announcement about mandarin chinese and the keep book being mp3 audio-ed on jw.org (if a publisher is computer illiterate, a cd can be ordered from the organization-but a brother who is tech savvy should offer to burn one instead of incurring cost to the slave).. then i realize i haven't heard squat about the 2008 wt library (cd or dl?)..
so i just checked my 07 wtcd and we have daily texts until the week of march 5, 2009 feb 26, 2009.. does anyone have any info on the 2008 wt library?.
is it going to be a dl or cd?.

50,000 disfellowshipped, 30,000 reinstated
by Gladring inas mentioned in the thread - http://www.jehovahs-witness.net/jw/friends/171251/1/jws-on-bbc - on the bbc website under the beliefs section they state that "elders disfellowship 50,000 to 60,000 witnesses around the world every year.
each year, however, 30,000 to 40,000 are reinstated having "come back to their spiritual senses".".
does anyone know where they could have got those stats?.
