I think it drives them crazy. I know it upset them greatly when I ignored their invitation to a JC they setup in my honor. Like how dare I not go.

Do you think it bothers elders, to know they can not control us now?
by free2beme inlast summer i went to a wedding of a relative that is a witness.
we're not disfellowshipped or disassociated, but have been inactive for about ten years.
because no one mentions our history to others, very few members of our relatives congregations, even know we used to be witnesses.

Poll: How many Quit school to pioneer? And: Did you go to college?
by theredhead inhow many of you quit school to pioneer or just because?
and please explain why you quit...
also: did you go to college?

I delayed going to college after HS well because it was the thing to do. My family was thrilled when I told them I was going to pioneer and waitress part time to support myself.
On my way out of the cult going to college is one of the first things I did. My dub family did not approve. When they realized they could not change my mind they tried to get me to go to take a 2 year nursing course. I told them the site of my own blood make me queazy so therefore I could not be in that profession. Then they told me to take a paralegal course. I said no. I told them for fiancial aid reasons I had to declare a major (I chose liberal arts) and they had a fit. I eventually changed over to business and got my degree in that. No support for them. I did not really care. I soon went inactive and was df'd a few years later.

Elders accuse us of Mail Fraud
by inbyathread inwell the sh*t has finally hit the fan now.
it seems that several families in the neillsville / marshfield area have received packages with apostatetm material enclosed.
at the service meeting last thursday night in two (count them) two congregations the elders have announced that a mail fraud scheme is in the area with packages arriving at publishers homes.

This sounds like a golden opportunity to play with the elders in the 2 congregations. On the next post card that is sent out write thanks for the announcement. it made my whole week or something like that. they will $hit their pants after reading that.

No one was more shocked than me especially when they asked me if I was Chasity. I have been df'd and am considered an apostate by my own family. Another thing is I live far away from where I grew up. My JW sister lives in the area and they said she told them about me and asked that they come visit and encourage me to come back. I asked them what I would be coming back too. Everyone here knows the drill, to live forever and serve Jehovah. They tried to play the family card but I am glad not to have my dub family in my life. I told them I was very happy with my life and that I attend church. I told them I now felt closer to God than I ever did as JW. They did not like the sound of that. They quickly left.
I am kind of curious what my sister told them about me. You could tell they were not really in the know because of the shocked looks on their faces when I told them about going to church. I was not told why I was df'd (did not attend my JC-had other plans) but I assume it was because I was living with my brother (known apostate) and going to church.
Oh well it made for an interesting few minutes. I doubt they will be back.

Do JWs Consider You To Be An "Apostate"?
by minimus inwe all know that our simply being here is considered an act of apostasy by witnesses.
whether they know you frequent such boards or not, are you considered an "apostate" by the witnesses?

JW's upset grandfather left house to Df'd family member
by Chasity1 inhi guys.
my brother told me that his friends grandfather died and that the jw family members are upset that he left his house to his grandson who is df'd.
for the last few years the grandson took him to all his doctor appointments and took him grocery shopping.

No he was never a dub. If he had been a dub chances are he would not have had a relationship with his grandson. I know he did not like how the JW family treated his grandson. From what my brother said the only time he was treated like a human being by the JW family was when his grandfather was present. He kicked a dub relative out of his house for shunning his grandson and told him not to come back until he learned some manners.

Hi guys. My brother told me that his friends grandfather died and that the JW family members are upset that he left HIS house to his grandson who is df'd. For the last few years the grandson took him to all his doctor appointments and took him grocery shopping. The ironic thing is over the years the JW's have lived with him rent free over the years and still the grandson was the one that took him to the doctor and he did not even live with him. Now the dubs are acting like they have been cheated. Right now 2 of his cousins are living in the house and he said there will be no free ride for them. They either pay him rent or they cannot live there. They have treated him like crap all these years because he left that cult. Now he is the landlord. Oh how Jehovah has blessed my brothers friend.
