What are the Witnesses Afraid Of ?

if the witnesses have the truth and have been going to meetings for many years and every week they learn how to be effective in the ministry and learn about the bible on sundays and every week have a family worship night, why are they afraid to talk to anyone who doesn't agree with them or question their beliefs?

if they have the truth then nothing can refute it.

It's like I told my wife. God and Jesus continued speaking with Satan. Also Satan for sometime was allowed around the angels. Thomas Doubted. Peter denied. Whole first century congregations had different ideas. The stupid modern day idea of not talking to someone who disagrees from an "in" status to out isn't even in their BS book

Further more. If you say don't talk to critics who once were believers. You have something to hide. Now I imagine a witness rebutted to that would be "eve and satan. She was deceived!" Ok. Then 1. why did god allow the greatest "apostate" to talk to her in the first place. And 2. Why didn't he say don't speak to the talking snake instead of don't eat from the tree? God didn't protect or warn eve about "apostasy". In the end the truth should have nothing to hide. Jw.org has plenty to hide.

Same thing I have always said, the truth should stand on its own whatever it is, it shouldn't be a house of cards that can be threatened by the slightest breeze.

A group called Advocates for Awareness of Watchtower Abuses (named for the Jehovah’s Witnesses’ parent corporation, the Watchtower Bible and Tract Society) produced a mashup of Lett’s video cut together with Reveal’s recent television segment on the PBS NewsHour.

Has anyone seen this mashup? I would like to see that.

Simon, you hit it dead on, I agree. When I found out about the U.N. thing etc after fading that to me didn't really make a difference. It's the deeper cultish high control stuff that got me. Like this video, total crap

Also of note, is some people may deep down in their primal core of their brain find something wrong with it, a "gut feeling".

When you say something you stir that up and they are trying to keep it down and this enrages them. Because even if in their gut they think its stupid they are all walking around saying love great it is, how loving of the gb, how cute how blah blah blah blah to drown out doubt.
