Oh Damn...I have been sprung!
by stuckinarut2 ini knew it could happen one day...yet i was so careful..... sitting at the sound cabinet, i had our awesome forum open on my tablet, and didn't see the microphone brother looking over at me...... he wandered over and asked me "whats that site?".
i quickly responded "oh, i googled to get to our jw.org site, and this must have popped up" while quickly closing it.... he didn't look too fussed, but my heart was beating..... he is pretty chilled out and certainly not an "uber-dub"...but this was a wake up call to be more careful...i am fading fast, but don't want anymore attention from the nazi-elders while doing so!.
be careful all!

Be careful. Even saying certain things will get you caught. In an email I put WTBS and was told that's what apostates say! By a few people. Not sure why they would say that or how they would know it, I just said it s a mouthful to write it all out. Anyway. When the micro scope is on you it becomes a witch hunt and an inquisition like I am going through these days. Be careful. I didn't mean to leave out the extra T even -

I remember there not being a spot but rather having them record it on the back or something for their cam-pain-in-the-ass.
I could ask my wife lol.

How is Joe Publisher reacting to all the TV coverage on the abuse cases?
by 4thgen inplease pardon if this a repeated topic.
i have had virtually no contact with any witnesses beside my mother for the past few years.
she watches tv constantly and claims she has never seen anything on the watchtower abuse cases.

Showed my wife. She didn't seem phased as expected.
- She wanted to believe the case was old and things have been improved. (Wrong)
- Sometimes it takes things like this to help update policies. (Not happening)
- Blamed victum for "smelling money" now all sorts will come forward (I said so are they lying? She said no)
- Because we were in a hall where the congregation was kind of warned (wink wink local needs) that a new creepy type that moved in was a pedophile, that the system works.

I feel like because I am mentally out the length and redundancy of these parts is unbearable.
but then sometimes I start to sense its not just me. My wife seems bored. And the person giving the part seems bored.
Have you ever been walking around a city with someone who drags there feet and barely moves? It's more exhausting than actually walking faster. This is how I feel about these parts. Dragging out to fill time. Mind numbing.
Like having a paragraph in the watchtower about hitting your wife. OK granted there may be cultures somewhere in the world that is not frowned upon. But I try to not live in those places. Clearly that is Grossly despicable. Why are people commenting on it for 5 minutes!? it's wrong. Not because the watchtower says it is, because it just is. And I think 100% of the hall I am in already is well aware. Its not nulite. Of course it's the whole watchtower article and the km parts. I feel more than ever they are stretching a 5 minute talk to we'll beyond its tolerance level. Taking simple information and drawing it out to be filler.

15 Years of Jehovahs-Witness.com
by Simon inyes, today is the forum's 15th birthday!.
i never thought for one moment that it would survive this long or have so many people post so many great subjects over the years.. it is still humbling when i get pm's or emails from people expressing how the site has helped them and of course thanks goes to all the posters who have shared their experiences and make helpful and supportive comments to others who are in the sometimes difficult process of learning the real truth about 'the truth'.. the site has gone through several different incarnations over the last 15 years running on different platforms, different databases and different hosts but we've been able to keep all the old topics.
the current site is still being developed and i'm hoping to push another major upgrade soon.. i also may have some other news to share soon about the future of the site so stay posted.. until then, here's the the next 15 years!

For having so much hope in paradise, witnesses are some of the most health obsessed people on earth. Or America at least. They buy in and promote all sorts of pyramid scheme health ideas. My faded friend and I comisreate over our parents being involved in this crap our whole lives. Some one had found some miracle cure all. It's the weak minded cult brain that allows to buy into this nonsense so quickly. I am invovled in the medical field and western medicine is a mess in many way. True western medicine and eastern have benefits. What doesn't is multi level marketing quackery. I move to a new state and was playing basket ball with some Bros. Right off the bat one was telling me about some miracle tea he sells and how it cured cancer or some shit. Bottom line is I can testify that many witnesses get involved in this quackery. Their distrust for Satan's system makes them put faith in the worst part. People making a buck off brain dead suckers -

Those darned apostates

"apostates capitalize on errors or seeming mistakes made by brothers who take the lead.
our safety lies in avoiding apostate propaganda as though it were poison, which in fact it is.".

I mentioned something along these lines with my wife the other day. That we make never ending concessions for @$$hole elders, GB, and so on in this Org because they are after all imperfect men... but you know what, if you are not a witness, if you are on the fringe or fading, if you are disfellowshipped or anything other there are no f%$#ing concessions for you.
They are suppose to be on par with god's decisions, when they make "mistakes" then we give them a pardon. It's a paradox witnesses cult minds are not able to think out of.

Mind control.
by New day inin a recent thread someone mentioned that the wtbts uses mind control techniques.
do you think this is a conscious ploy?
if it is it would mean that the leaders of my religion (i am still an active jw) set out consciously to control people.

watch this. I don't believe most are concious to it. But unaware. Products of an existing system. Like disfellowshipping. Most jw would never consider it emotional manipulation outright but also not hesitate using it for just that.
