Wow. Awful
the Isaiah thing was beat to death for us too. All I could think about was how lions aren't designed to eat grass. Lol
perhaps i'm just getting older and crankier, but it really seems to me that the jw faith is deteriorating at an accelerated rate.. case in point: this year's memorial talk.
it was one of the most incoherent messes i've ever heard.
(and i've heard a lot of memorial talks over the last 50 years....).

i'm looking for a link to where he actually lied on jw broadcasting about the bible students "not knowing exactly what was going to happen in 1914".. thanks for any help.

its the 100 years and counting video I believe
i think he probably will (it is the us after all) but i hope he doesn't.
he caused incredible pain and suffering to men, women and children who had never done anything to him.
many died in unimaginable agony, others are disabled for life.
love stuff like this that gives better understanding into the universe around us.

we all know the wts abandons and invents beliefs faster than apple can churn out new shiny stuff.
but have they ever abandoned a belief and later picked it up again?.
i remember many years ago we had one of those post-district-assembly review parts (part of the service meeting) where they were discussing some "new light".. there was some confusion about which was the "new" and which was the "old" and a semi-discussion ensued with people commenting.

"We used to believe that now we believe the truth... oh wait, now it's something else? OK now we know the truth... no? Not yet? It changed again? OK what's the truth now? OK. I'll go around judging, shunning and criticizing people over "truth" that is likely to change"
had an interesting thought this morning.
when a witness is 'in' they think everyone else is following and trying there best all in unity.
i believe the reality is there are a lot of us 'in' who know different.
this is bad news for the evolution of humankind.
even worse, islam is the fastest growing religion.

Yep! we have to remember some places are now going through their own version of the dark ages. I know from living (and when I was in having to go out in service in) an ever increasingly muslim territory.
A fact that I was enlightened to is that most Muslims never read the Koran, it is a heavily oral religion conveyed to them through and Emam. And when you get certain places around the world, it is even more so because the people are illiterate.
I remember speaking to a muslim woman at the door, she was telling me all these crazy things, she was telling me "when you see a shooting star, its not a star, it's an angel falling from heaven"... wow... dark ages indeed.
