I was floored by the Jesus videos as well. I got into for two days with my wife. Some wrote a story about angels announcing something so that's proof and if you doubt your dumb!

I wanted to puke as well. I asked my wife when that is what they consider proof then what about joseph smith? Or Muhammed?

When the narrator started talking I wanted to laugh. Seemed like an snl skit. "Hello friend, may you have peace" *barf*

Also the audience was like gasping when they first showed adult jesus like it was really him or he has never been portrayed on film before. Lol. It's not over my friend there is more to come. Typical jw logic trying to take the story of Jesus and making it about doubters. Even as an atheist I find this quite and insult to his story.

The dangers of the Internet as they called it would have had critical or negative information about the borg mostly on forums such as this. Now the danger is mainstream. Their blunders aND embarrassing reality is popping up in the media and is all over something like Wikipedia. Now of couse Wikipedia is not infallible, but it's not all wrong either. Reading that 607 bce is an erroneous teaching of the jw's is on Wikipedia. Not an "apostate" site.

i've noticed increasing amounts of jw's are coming off fb and deactivating completely.

all with the same reason which they post about at lenght which is that they wwant to focus more on their spiritual life and not have the distraction of fb.. have i missed something or is this just a coincidence?.

so that other thread was fun but now i need some help with something.

i was born in the truth most of my family is in.

although they aren't outwardly super spiritual i doubt any of them would ever leave.

Can't be done without getting noticed. Best bet is just to say you are very busy with your life and need to just take care of stuff. Then they will pitty you and people will wonder if you didn't something bad or if you aren't strong enough to cope with "this system of things" or you are materialistic. Witnesses are conditioned to jump to conclusions that make them comfortable. So you are going to be judged someway.

Strange Moment During The 2015 Regional Convention

hi, i'm new here but hadn't seen this mentioned anywhere yet.

during the "imitate jesus" rc there was a strange moment where they played a video of a brother trying to explain the 1914 teaching.

the brother quickly goes through all the scriptural "proofs" and the householder is dumbfounded.

I've been saying the same thing for a while that they are gonna creep away from the math. And just say 1914 was the date and that's that. Talk about how bad things got after that point and and how the witnesses took off after that. And that will be the doctrine.no more silly math

Jw_rogue I was equally as disgusted by this. They seem to be making things try to seem light hearted and comical at times. Maybe to take some of the seriousness off of teaching lies.
