Discussing the RC with a friend and my JW wife was listening.
by Driving Force ini am fuming at the moment and my wife has made me so angry.. i live in germany and an ex jw, a friend of mine is also ex jw but does not understand english so i was giving him a rundown on the friday session of the rc with gj.
my wife was in another part of the house but heard my phone ring and so she came to listen, i did not realize this, because when the phone rang i closed two doors between myself and my wife.
she opened the first door and started listening to the conversation.

I feel for you. Seeing the fruitages of the cult never gets easy. It creates a huge void in a relationship. The most nauseating part is how just by you thinking differently than them and being so horrible to express your thinking, you are persecuting them and victimizing them. When they are screaming at you. Trying to censor you. Trying to shun you. And you are pinned as the persecutor. Sorry my friend. -

Nothing is more valuable than self education, with a good self education you can make the most of the formal education. Formal will make you a living, self will make you a fortune.
Life is scary and that is good, learn, grow, progress.
What do you love? not for work, but what are you excited to talk about? Aligning your passions with your career is something a lot of us raised in never were encouraged to do, you are young and have a chance to do it.

The Royal Commission and Watchtower - A game changer
by Hidden-Window ini had finished watching all the videos on the royal commission's investigation of jehovah's witnesses (yes, i know more videos are being released).
i am still processing the information of everything that has emerged.
i do not plan to cover it all here, but i would like to point out that it is patently obvious that some of the wt representatives provided misleading information.

usually their double speak, and elusive answers keep the real lies hidden, in this case, they seem prepared. They are not only trashing them with their own words and policies, but with the bible. The GB is getting schooled with bible versus from a secular source! -

Won't get fooled again ...Moon Landing.
by The Rebel inso i was fooled by the witnesses.
what can i learn from that?
not to accept things at face value but to seek out opinion and different view points.. hence my question " do you believe man landed on the moon?.

What is your personal opinion, do you agree with that stance?
What does that say to you about NASSA?I don't think it really means anything, just that when someone (or group) really wants things, they will make concessions. When they CIA needed the help of Cosa Nostra during WW2, they had no problem asking them. I don't really expect governments, businesses, or alphabet agencies to approach things from what we consider "ethical". they have a job to do, and they do it. Its a whore business, its just what it is, I personally lose no sleep over these things
There is an old saying, I believe it is arabic in nature, "my enemies enemy is my friend" something along those lines.
No, because no one has presented any evidence for that.
You're right I just made all that up, the nerve...

I guess not, just making sure that wasn't implied at yours truly
Would you not agree that while the space race was not started, and not deliberately done as a distraction from anything, that as it progressed its power was hijacked (not even in a negative way) by those seeking to use it for personal reason?
Sensationalizing the evolving medium of TV? political back patting? and cold war ass whooping? No conspiracy, but just as the media and politicians can latch strongly onto things even today that they may want to "ride the wave" of so to speak. This is my point

Is Jackson embarrassed to be a JW?
by Doubting Bro ini listened to the majority of jackson's part one testimony and it seems apparent to me that he either:1) is embarrassed to be a jw or 2) doesn't really believe.
i've heard countless times from the platform and in print that we should be proud to be jws and take every opportunity to defend our beliefs.
yet, it seems jackson didn't even want to admit that he believed he was being directly used by jehovah to lead the congregation as his spokesman.

Things change when you are in front of a commission and not on someones doorstep.
He's forced to neuter himself and the other GB on a public stage. Unfortunately not enough witnesses will hear this, or if they do CD will cause them to say he was right and said everything perfect while continuing to follow the same rules spoken and unspoken.

The implication made many pages ago via the "I'm just asking questions" fallacy was that Apollo was implemented to distract from Vietnam and that there was money flowing into NASA to keep it going to that end.
Did I say that Pumpkin?
Maybe I have amnesia.
