i'm not sure if you ever share analytics data.. but i've been noticing a trend.
it seems that every time a new jw broadcast, we get a seeming increase in new members the week after.. does the data show that?.
Yes I wonder if its a chain reaction, I believe the org has a lot who are uncomfortable with were its going, some maybe lurking, after another wacky broadcast they finally feel so uncomfortable with it they go from lurker to poster, other lurkers see their first posts and are inspired to do the same.
That's my imagined scenario. If all the people waking up knew how many of them there were they'd probably walk out in droves. This fear of "its just you" is a powerful control tool.

i feel like i need to vent my story out, as i feel quite helpless at the moment.. i'm 31 year old, married, father of toddler with another one on the way, due later this month.
i've been serving as elder for about 4 years now in a south florida congregation.

Take a deep breath (literally and figuratively). Posting is a big breakthrough and the pain of baring all this on your own is over, still there is a big road ahead but you have time to sort if out if you do it right. Tell your stories, vent, ask questions, communicate and read. Finding ones to go through this with is one of the most important and helpful things. I know had I not found friends here and had to do this on my own I would have made poor choices and probably cracked. So take a breath and start to detox this stuff out of your life at a manageable safe pace.

hi everyone, i have been lurking for some time now and decided to open the box (hence pandora).
about a year ago i became aware of child abuse within the org, out of curiosity (just like pandora) i opened the box and the evils have been pouring out ever since regarding the org.
anyway, this came to a head last summer with the arc.

I think a lot more people with brains would wake up. I imagine those people are choosing not to watch this utter stupidity.

to myself it means to seek knowledge and understanding of are selves and the world in which we live.. unfortunately history has shown whenever one tries to connect to god and of his knowledge through men who say they themselves are connected to god through spiritual wifi ie.
gb members of the jehovah's witnesses for example, one usually ends up finding a accumulation of only man's acquired knowledge.
over thousands of years of trying to connect to a god(s) for help and answers, mankind has eventually relinquished himself to seeking answers through scientific investigative acquired knowledge of the world in which we live in.
"God" is a convenient place holder to fill in gaps. If you believe the Abrahamic religions it had been told to you what it is. But before monotheism there was polytheism. The god idea was not so standard as the one guy who did it all.
If we encountered a far more advanced civilization than us from another solar system they would likely seem "godlike" to us. God wasn't lonely and created man. Man was lonely and created God. Its a blanket answer to "I don't know" or "I don't understand". An interesting exercise in imagination it has been hijacked to be more than a myth and gap filler.
if anyone had to guess, what do you think the average age of the community actually is?.
are more millennials actually waking up or is it pretty even amongst previous generations as well?
