so it is now two days after another islamic terrorist attack.

how many muslims are in the streets protesting and condemning this evil?

how many are marching in all the big cities condemning this in mass protests?.

The one thing they won't do, criticize their own beliefs.

And why hate? This idea leads us to a utopian ideology that is not achievable. I am having a mental picture from the 'The Giver' of them getting their injections.

The people of Jonas's community don't understand genuine emotion or pain, because their lifestyles allow no opportunity to experience it. Birthmothers are not allowed to raise their own children. Sex is forbidden and sexual urges medicated away. Adults are not allowed to choose their own spouses. Identical twins are not both allowed to survive because they would be too close emotionally. Every decision made in the community serves a purely practical purpose and is based on the rules set down at the time of the community's establishment, promoting Sameness and leaving no room for sentimentality.

I think the main problem is not so much that people don't condemn a specific act (which I believe most times is done out of the best intentions, but can also Islamic principles of Taqiyya & Kitman) but its that they cannot prescribe responsibility to their religion and nor should anyone else. That is too taboo, and there is your problem.

Would those people dare hold up signs criticizing Islam itself? No f-cking way! A JW can say they condemn child abuse, but at the same time absolve their "tribe" from accountability in it, claiming any who criticize watchtower are evil.

Are they there to show support for the victims? or to try and separate themselves from the evil?

hi, i want to leave my personal opinion on the matter of russian government's banning on the activity of jehovah's witnesses in their territory.

i think it's more or less important because bearing a certain opinion is related with the quality of life.

No doubt the label extreme they brought on themselves and are being called out on it by a totalitarian state. But things need to be done the way they are in Australia not Russia.

No

Two wrongs don't make a right. Trying to ban corruption doesn't work anyway, you need to educate and expose it.

Freedom of speech might be our most valuable right. It should not be taken away from anyone. There are other ways to fight them.

OK spoletta, I'll give a nonsarcatsic response to your OP.

How do we disinfect ourselves of bad ideologies and actions of harmful organizations and groups? We bring them into the light.

How did all of you wake up from watchtower? Was it not having uncomfortable truths about this organization taken out of the shadows and into the light for you? Those tuths were there all along but we denied, explained away, and demonized critics.

Me: "There is an institutional abuse problem inside watchtower"

Jw: "That's not true you are just an apostate who hates all witnesses"

Now this works like this

Me: "there is an intrinsic terrorist and Human rights problem within Islam"

Apologist: "you are an islamaphobe, you hate Muslims"

If you think all of us here who criticize Islam are so awful, you think the same of many exmuslims who are very much just like you just from a different religion. A WORSE religion.

I think it's funny that I didn't venture an opinion at all whether Islam was good or bad, and you folks come out of the woodwork to attack it. Next time I'll just post the word "Islam" and see if you get all hot and bothered about that.

Islam is not all "one thing", as is Christianity, Hinduism or Buddhism. There are many schools of thought within it. As with many religions, there are fundamentalists factions and cults, and those are the ones who are dangerous. Those who commit terrorist acts are those who have been indoctrinated to do so by the same processes of indoctrination that are found in cults.

As has been pounded to death, and has been said by the likes of Bill Maher and Sam Harris, Islam is NOT like other religions. The moderate Muslims you and I know are the fringe, not the center. Fundamentalists/cults in other faiths are fringe, not centric. Isam is a rotten death cult at its core, that doesn't change the people you speak of, but you cannot compare it to any other religion in existence today at this time.

Also you can't just reference ISIS as the bar. Human rights violations could be committed by all these you speak of. They may not be attacking people with a knife, how do they treat their wives? How do they feel about apostates? How do they feel about sharia? Homosexuals? Its a much bigger problem than just jihad

We all know how bad the WT can be but, to put everything into some kind of perspective, this woman has to spend the rest of her life under police protection.
