March Broadcast- Jehovah is speeding up the work
by adjusted knowledge ini watched some of the segments on the jw broadcast.
in the video they showed how they managed their inventory orders for the congregations.
at the conclusion it was stated by the narrator how god is speeding up the work.. the problem is the system they implemented has been used for over two decades in logistics.

The Secret is out....but nobody cares
by MrTheocratic ini've been looking on this site for some time but never posted.
i'll give a little about myself, but not too much.
i'm a ex-bethelite ( brooklyn )and currently serving as an elder (10 years) (thinking about stepping down) on the service committee.

Welcome and well put, I agree with your sentiments. Many see (especially now) how bumbling the GB is, and they may even laugh or mock them, but if you criticize too far to the point of eluding this is not god's organization, the cult defenses go up quick. scandal, doctrine, failed prophecies... most are content to tolerate these things... the real fight is waking them up to the fact that it is a cult and operates as such. Most don't want to confront this reality, I have heard already from my family who are distraught over what they believe are my views, that if its not the truth they have wasted their lives, a sad and distorted view that keeps them hoping.
I look forward to speaking more with you, PM if you like, how long ago were you in Bethel? If you are comfortable PMing that, if not I understand.

Did Jonah knew more than Jehovah? smart man!
by prologos insaturday's daily text: jonah 3:10 " --god felt regret--that he had spoken--" so jonah must have had a premonition, that he would be made to look like a fool because of his preaching, that is probably the real reason why he went to spain, tasted the fishy gastric juices for 3.5 days.
because the all knowing god could not be bothered to foresee that the ninevites would change their attitude, --- bible nonsense.

James Mixon
yhwh also appointed a worm at one point. That scripture always made me laugh. Perhaps a worm and a whale will be sitting in judgement up there with the 144000.

"Big Fish in small goldfish bowls"
by stuckinarut2 inyou know, the more we think about it, jehovah's witnesses are just like "big fish in small goldfish bowls".. yes, they may appear important, or "big" but this is only within a very small sphere of influence - yes only within a small and limited world.. to those outside of that small insular world, they are "no-bodies", unimportant, or at least insignificant in the real scheme of life.. so, the next time something from the witness world seems to be a big issue in our lives, step back and look at things from "outside of the goldfish bowl" .

Awake at last
I think that contributes. Although I know some that went through all the way through college and still seem to have this strange behavior. I think it's because everything in the world is "so satantic" more people are turning inward into the cult and having a narrower and narrower world view.

Why attack?
by newqatarjob inas someone brought up as a jw and been an elder and been disfellowshipped (twice!!!
) i find it difficult to understand why ex jws have to attack the religion, yes religion, not cult or sect.
i am no longer disfellowshipped just do not want to practice anymore.

How many Dubbers stay away from the internt?
by dogon ini know of several who have nothing to do with the internet as if it will lead them off into oblivion.
how many do you know that feel this way?

This was how it was for many, especially older ones. However with the last few years developments, if you aren't on the Internet all the time on your tablet, well you aren't a witness anymore. One exception though... only jw.org otherwise you will see pornography, apostate thinking, or fall of into the oblivion of actually learning about the real world. -

Very true post. And to add to this the longer they spend in that bowl they are not just nobodies. They are virtualy drones. I have observed many (Mostly with younger gen y raised in's) that have nothing to talk about. No passion. no interests. They laugh at things that are not funny in the least. No personality. the limits of their world are numerous. -

Hotel Caifornia, Stairway to Heaven, Saturday Night Fever
by Butyoucanneverleave indoes anyone remember those 2 songs and that movie specifically being mentioned in the watchtower?
they were"bad" and should be avoided.
it had to be in the late 70's or early80's.

I want to say Guns and Roses was specifically mentioned at one point. Or at least I had heard of someone getting kicked out of bethel for having their music. GB not big axel fans apparently... -

How Radicalised are Jehovah's Witnesses?
by snugglebunny inback in the early 70's, the wt stated that all persons who had lived and died would be resurrected after armageddon.
only non believers would be killed at armageddon, never to return.
in short, if you died before the big a, you were guaranteed to return.. this gave rise amongst several ex's to concerns that their well-meaning jw parents might just consider the possibilty of having their offspring "lovingly" bumped off so as to ensure their resurrection!.

Shunning is for sure radical. You tell a JW that islam, and the amish, and the mormons, and scientology and other groups do the exact same thing for the exact same reason... they just give you a blank stare like you never said anything
and go on saying things how if you loved someone very much and someone criticized them you'd shun the critical person... INSANITY!! They totally miss how insane this practice is. With myself I have been seeing this first hand within my family. Even some can't tell me how what is happening does any good or makes any sense.
