Convention Cartoon

so last night they played the convention cartoon.

there were a few laughs from the audience, overall though people seemed a little taken aback and tight lipped.

like no one gushed about it afterwards, no applause, just like it was nothing new at all.

serious as a heart attack, that wasn't for the cartoon, but for some monthyl broadcast viewing, i did not go, but was sent a pic

They served popcorn at one of the monthly "showings" of jdubcasting. I shit you not.

So last night they played the convention cartoon. There were a few laughs from the audience, overall though people seemed a little taken aback and tight lipped. Like no one gushed about it afterwards, no applause, just like it was nothing new at all.

My theory on why they did this, is that they are smart, they have realized that the adults in the org like the Caleb and Sophia cartoons as much OR MORE than the damn kids! So now they are going to appeal to their audience and make some cartoons for the adults.

I feel like the youngest ones in the hall are weirded out by it, and the oldest ones feel alienated. it's all very strange.

The reality is that is not true at all! Hypocrites! They downplay the organization then make it a take it or leave it part of the deal!

found the latest copies next to the toilet {witnesses must have visited my wife} and had a look after not reading anything for a year.

its a pamphlet not a magazine!

only a few pages long with shallow articles.it felt like my "spiritual food" was now those cheap home delivered diet t.v meals!!

Since I still attend meetings and assemblies I get the distinct feeling that not just from a fader like myself, but everyone else too, people attention span is so short that meetings and assemblies have become (by perception and in reality) infinitely redundant. Literature myst be the same, things need to be shortened for this mind numbing redundancy

The elders came to talk about my facebook comment

so, not long ago i've told you guys how one of my only two jw friends saw my comment against the borg and called me about it.

well, the little fraker also called the elders to tell on me.

i know i've been a huge idiot for posting a comment about jw's on facebook, but nonetheless i did it and what's happened, happened.. two idiot elders came all the way from the nearest congo, 30 miles away to talk to me about it.

Leaders should have natural abilities and a certain personality that causes them to be a certain way... elders are not this type, generally speaking, especially the further you get from metropolitan areas. They are people who have made nothing of themselves in the real world, and this little witness world puts them on a pedestal for obeying the status quo. So they become nazi, policing, gestapo assholes because they have no business in a position of any kind of leadership. I have the fortune of being in my last two halls where this did not exist, the main members of he elders bodies were not insecure, window cleaners, they were serious, and successful people. They actually admire my desire to not need to be an elder or MS to feel good about myself, they are a different breed and rare in the org. All the rest feel like more spiritual men for being Orwellian assholes

I am not df'd, I am inactive but still go through the meeting motions for the spouse. My family found out (from me like an idiot) I was critical of the org and god in general. i have been df'd by my entire family. During this time I heard it said to me or my spouse "using the word shunned is an apostate word"... while there it is in print. I was also told by someone I have been so close to for 35 years "I am not shunning you, I just won't do anything with you socially, I wont follow you on social media, etc, but I AM NOT SHUNNING YOU, we just wont do anything together again"...

See how effective the org is?
