"Be Kind to the Fornicators in the Congregation!" -- New August Watchtower

have you noticed the article entitled "watch your associations in these last days" in the new august 2015 study watchtower?.

unless i'm reading it wrong, or somehow misinterpreting it, it is saying that we should be kind to intentional breakers of god's laws inside and outside the congregation, including fornicators, but that we must not be close associates with them.. are they already preparing for a shift in their disfellowshipping practices?.

I think they are just tossing some things in print they don't really mean, but that in court or public opinion can look nice. Nothing is changing

Rumor about the Imitate Jesus Convention

i saw a rumor a few weeks ago on reddit that the new imitate jesus convention is supposed to present new light and clarified understandings on the disfellowshipping/disassociation practices.. supposedly, if this rumor has any truth to it, there will be a talk given at the convention about how we should not be strict like the pharisees in how we shun people, loosening up some of the jw rules about this practice.. has anyone here heard anything about this or have more info on it?.

An experience at Bethel

i was just thinking of something i observed on a visit to bethel some years back, that at the time struck me as odd, but now that i look back on it, it might be revealing about their financial situation.

please feel free to agree/disagree with me and also bear in mind this is some years back so my memory may be sketchey.

i remember walking into the front entrance of the bethel to do a tour.

Katewild not an urban legend. It's true. I don't like spreading anything that I am not sure is true. My friend she was in house keeping and saw it with her own eyes. I wish it weren't true.

I agree with a few of the posts here that we watch them more. I honestly think they test people's faith and give them cd so they don't watch.

But clearly the board cast has changed the environment of the religion. I hear gb mentioned a lot more at congregation prayers.

A big hello and thank you

i just wanted to introduce myself and say a big hello to all of my mentally diseased friends.. i say friends because i have been lurking for some time so it feels like home (us lurkers are a bit scared and cautious so it takes a while).

i won't bore you with too many details, but i am a born in, currently serving as the cobe of a congregation.

my wife and i have pioneered for the last 10 years and were shaken awake by that ridiculous 15th july 2013 wt about the generation and 1914.. my wife who is much smarter than me has questioned for years.

My bethelite friends (hardcover dubs) said there was a couple there thay washed and reused condoms! Barf! They'd be hanging in the shower drying. How sick is that?

I asked where is the proof?

arguing with my husband again, i asked where is the proof that jesus looked down on earth in 1919 and chose a small group of bible students in america apart from them saying it in their magazines.

also where is the proof that satan and his demons were cast down in 1914 just because first world war started.

neither of these things are in the bible only in their magazines.

I'm very sorry he's treating you that way. I've had many divided days and nights. Wife and I are at an understanding now. She us a way more tolerant person than she's ever been. She had to see thay I'm not a monster without being brainwashed. Give it some time. But if he doesnt come around I'm very very sorry
