Blondie I think you are correct. But I like the acronym SAD.
There was a part on the symposium about managing your family resources. It was basically about having enough budgeted to give to the organization.
Also the public discourse was blatantly hypocritical. About what God thinKS of religion. Whole thing was patting the organization on the back and trashing other religions for thinga the organization is totally guilty of. It was vomit worthy

as a result, the new world translation is now available in whole or in part in over 130 languages.

The "god of communication"???
You mean the desert god they believe threw a hissy fit shortly after the flood to confound communication with "languages" .
The stupidity of religion and the bible knows no limits. It's like stupidity piled on top of stupidity.

Do you feel embarrsed?
by The Rebel inwhen you look through a keyhole, and see the person you once were?.
as for myself, i am just pleased i have mended my ways.
i realise ( now) my time as a witness was a keyhole that looked in to the ground, and licked the elders arse.

Read something from Dan bilzerrian today on his ig about happiness. And it's basically what I have come to understand at this point in my life as have many others. That two things make you miserable. Fear & judgment. I got baptized basically because of those two things even though I told myself differentry at the time. I grew out of those things, but because I made a choice that put me captive in this shit cult, I grew out of it but still have those elements in my life because I can't undo the baptism. I am embarrassed my 15 year old self wasn't smarter than to get baptized. -

In a lot of ways I always felt embarrassed being a witness.
Being different didn't bother me, ie not celebrating holidays it really didn't matter to me, and despite being a witness I had many many "worldly" friends and it did not stunt me socially.
Being a witness did limit me, I was sought after for extra curricular sports etc, and never could do it. I never fretted over it too much, but it did suck.
Preaching... preaching the witnesses crap was embarrassing... waking people up, making them come to the door on a saturday morning when they are trying to enjoy their family, or their free time, or their sleep or whatever, i found that infinitely unnecessary and yes... embarrassing as hell!

"I would rather have Questions that I can't answer, instead of Answers that I can't question"

how very thought provoking this quote is, especially in the context of witness doctrine!.

I'm not so sure a bigger awakening is going to happen anymore
by bradford inwhen i left in march officially i started reading the forums here.
i had this excitement that more people would be leaving soon because of the crazy broadcasts, the crazy "new light" that the gb was dishing out, and more recently the australian royal commission lighting up geoffrey.
this past saturday i had an elder stop by to chat for the first time since i left.

1. Old guard is passing away
2. Next generatons aren't reaching out
3. The very young are leaving
4. Informaton is more available and easy to access and the kids these days are savvy to that.
5. Science and archeological discoveries daily discredit the bible and the more we learn about our universe the smaller the idea of a middle eastern contrived yhwh seems.
Knowledge vs superstition. Because it's a captive religion it's big and hard to leave. Hopefully each generation is less captive and it starts dying

I agree with my Thor worshipping brother _Morpheus to some degree.
Still I believe the religion has been far more solid in the past, I think even thought many are plodding along, its not the religion it was and I don't believe it ever will be again. Honestly I feel 2014 was the apex and one of the last disappointments (timewise) for the org. That coupled with the information age, I think there are many who do not take it as seriously. It did change, and if you are sensitive to their delivery of information, they know this is happening as well, they know people are leaving, and not because someone hurt their feelings, that is just what they have fed the RF because to say otherwise shows a different problem, that people are fed up with the lies and stupidity. I don't think we are going to wake up one day and everyone leaves, but i think the DNA of the cult is getting weaker, the doctrine is shallow and foolish, the scandals pile up. Witnesses are going to be in denial, that is for sure, but slowly i think more and more are going to give it less weight in their lives, even if they stay in for the long hall. No one is reaching out, people are leaving, physically and through fade, the criticism is mounting. information is more and more available, people are going to start and see more and more "normal" "spiritual" people step away, or fade, and this is going to wake others up. If they aren't going out because of being DF'd or in an outspoken "apostate" rage, things have changed. Its a very influential religion with a ton of people. Its not going to deflate over night, however things are changing in a butterfly effect kind of way, small tremors and systemic changes are eating away at its foundations.
