Call For Children To Get Baptised From CO

yesterday i went for the co's last talks.

So I've been pretty good at not going to meetings lately. Yesterday I went for the CO's last talks. Older CO. His last talk was absolutely shocking.

He basically just came out and implored "children" to get Baptised. How? Well at one one point he mentioned how he was Baptised at 11. He then went on with talking about Jesus and the angels with the smashing tools. And the mark on the head. And how he commanded those to be destroyed "old, men, women, children" so he started talking about how they were accountable. And going to die at Armageddon. I'm not making this up.

How did he illustrate their accountability? He talked about the children mauled by the bear for teasing gods prophet for being bald. He said he didn't go and talk to their parents because those kids were accountable to jehovah. My mouth must have been hanging open. Then He basically just came out and said it. Get Baptised. The organization is showing it's desperation in so many things.

yep, he told her that he wants to go a friends b-day...keep in mind it's not until december.

well anyway i told her i didn't mind if he did and i would take him.

yep, enter cult mode.....i hate this freaking cult.

We're not trying to convert you

recently i saw a link to an article from the st. petersburg times (one of these links on the side of this forum to sometimes old articles).

it was an article about jws and their preaching work.

imo, middle to favorable.. but the one thing was from a door where the jws are saying they're not here to convert anyone, they just want to share a scripture.. what sort of bs is this?

Standard witness double speak.

When you are in and not awake it's amazing the nonesense you don't think about. This is one example of how they deny/say one thing when you know that is not true.

The goal is to get bible studies to study and get them baptized. But we are only there to share scriptures... which is it?

I don't think the pioneers are all praying to have someone to share a scripture with. They pray for studies. Recruitment is the goal

recently shared this with me.. they compared the tiredness they felt after attending an assembly and meetings, and noted how much worse it was than actually working and studying hard for hours for their secular employment!

Have you ever walked around a big city like new York with someone who walks so so slow... when you are done you will be more exhausted from the act of trying to slow yourself down and move at their pace than if you were just walking normal.

I think our brains are the same. Step into a meeting you have to put your mind on slow MO and it's not easy in an age where we are used to learning fast and constantly learning and growing. Ain't shit growing in a kingdom hall

jesus said "look to the fruits" of real christians.. it is unbelievable that the wt says that new anointed christians are merely false.

how can humans decide who is anointed and who's not?.

how can the watchtower society say these unchristian statements?

hi... i am new and after nearly 20 years after being disassociated at 15 i would like to make contact with others who have similar difficulties.

my mother was disfellowshipped shortly after my rebellion and had all ties with both her mother and brother cut and that remains the case.. just really hacked off with not being able to put things in the proper place in my life after all these years.

for the record i don't know if i believe in god but am searching for some peace as i seem to self destruct on a regular basis.. any ideas anyone?.

Watchtower and the gb have become full time apologists. More and more vocal. Hopefully in member start seeing how they are now constantly explaining, reexplaining, and excusing themselves and their ideas.

Also how arrogant they show they are by referring to anyone who believes they have the some privilege is wrong and therefore mentally and emotionally defective. When they are wrong it's new light when anyone else then nut job.

My mom who thought she had some special gift for reading between the watchtower lines and the bible was thoroughly convinced Armageddon would always start in October because it always had significance in the bible. Which really makes sense if you think about bible stories, yes stories, written by a group who high holy days were in the fall. Any every year it had to be coming this october! Some one in the US farted! Thus Armageddon!
