Isaiah 65
by KW13 inisaiah 65 v 20 something does say "or an old man who does not live out his years" so surely that means for the witnesses using that scripture, there isn't everlasting life?

Allow me. Forever doesn't refer to the people, it refers to the conditions which have already been taken out of context by the JW's. For example where i live will be forever but does that mean i will always be here to enjoy it? No. Also think about it, people continue to be born, no one dies, dead resurrected means...SEVERE overcrowding. Get a jug and a glass of water, once the water fills the jug your stuck, surely God wouldn't be that stupid.

Please to save me trawling the site, could you all (if you want to!) give me your best evidence against the JW's because i want to compile this information, What is your strongest scriptural evidence to prove the witnesses. I accept most of the things thrown around here, and they are very good! For example i think Isiah 65 proves not a paradise, and its been taken out of context in some respects by JW's.

Whatever you find and discover, think it through and way the evidence out. For example thanks to this site i was showing my mum something, a scripture CLEARLY meant one thing but she still ran for the WBT society mags/books. As soon as that happens the information is biased! Look apostate up in the dictionary i asked her instead of the society's books...she refused. So basically please keep an open mind, be willing to soak in things and yes even pray. Good luck in your research, feel free to pester us all! From KW13 - Karl

Why were you "sure" the JW's had the truth when you joined?
by JH inthis thread is for those who joined on their own....not those who grew up as jw's and dragged into it.... in my case, they seemed to be alone preaching the good news of the kingdom to be on earth and heaven.
they called god jehovah or yhwh.
they preached door to door like mathew 24:14 said.

Paradise, Seeing lost friends and family again, thinking i was helping other people... So yeah, like all i was fooled with lots of good things till after sometime the real agenda became clear. Some people never get to see the truth, and i feel sad for them.

Before or after?
by flag ini'm curious, when you made your decision to leave the org.
did you do it before or after looking at this kind of internet sites?.
in my case i made my decision without ever looking any of this websites.

i was on the road to success in the organization, i was starting to get priviledges, my talks were good, i was clever and successful, my ministry was good. Why did i leave? my stepdad was a bully, hypocrites, things didn't make sense.
Then on my road to recovery, even now a few years later i found this site

Lo' and Behold - I start hearing Kingdom Melodies in the coffee shop.....
by AK - Jeff ini was peacefully reading an old copy of stephen cox' article "can the truth survive the internet", and all of a sudden i realize that the instrumental music playing is the d*mn kingdom melodies.
it was actually pretty good.
it was that instrumental cd released sometime back with a lot of harp, piano, and woodwinds in it.
