Its not the people on here or wherever
by angel eyes ini was talking to a baptised friend, and they dont like the idea of me being on here..i told them that ive mentioned it to an elder and that a few know im here,afterall im heeding the warning .
anyway, i explained to them that we are drawn out by our own desire,its whatever is in our heart....... hmmm did that come across ok???
so what im saying is yes negative thoughts or comments whatever we are warned against can harm us but its up to us what we listen to and if our heart is right we shall remain in gods love.

You seem a little confused my friend. This site is owned and operated by an Ex-Jehovah's Witness. The Society themselves discourage assocation with others over the internet, whether they claim to be Witnesses or not. That said, the site policy here is that all are welcome, which is true. However, ignorance shouldn't be tolerated.

By your attacks, shows who has holy spirit and who does not.
By the Watchtower's doing, the holy spirit has become nothing but a tool dispensed only to the so called 'faithful and discreet slave'. The average Witness, at best gets to admire it from afar. You are unable to gain true understanding of God's word the bible without the aid of an Organization and its literature, and in the process the opportunity to have a true relationship with Christ is snatched away.
How do you gain entry into the Kingdom? Not by being submerged in water, to make you a member of a man made organization but instead by Holy Spirit. The flesh, cannot inherit it. Read the Bible without your tinted glasses, you may learn something.

No, i'm afraid that won't happen at all. You see, there is one mediator according to the Bible and that is Christ himself. The Bible does not so much as hint that God will use any Organization, thankfully. Men love familiarity and structure, we crave it but God does not promise it in such a way.

Many who are considering leaving the Witnesses are frightened by the thought itself. Let me tell you though, there is nothing to fear. At first though you will possibly feel like there is. Before you jump to conclusions that we made an easy and selfish decision, read on. Would you put yourself through this for no reason?

Suddenly life becomes a blank page, ready to be filled again. You find many of the things you learned as a Jehovah's Witness suddenly become irrelevant. Before you held knowledge that could save lives, now to most it means nothing. The world seems a vast place, with nothing to cling on to. Did you make a mistake? This is possibly too big for you to handle.
You fear both the known and the unknown. Nothing seems safe at first. Every aspect of everyday life comes with its own problems. Work, Education, Family. The Kingdom Hall, filled with familiar faces seems so far away. The safety of your former life is calling you, and part of you wants it back.
You feel guilt like you've never felt it before. At best, you may have lost yourself some close friends, at worst you fear you may have driven a wedge between you and the creator of the universe. Who else is there who feels the same as you? You're alone!
While your mind is buzzing away, with thoughts about the Watchtower Society intruding every part of your life, dominating your very existence. You thought that you'd chosen freedom, but instead you feel like you've discovered Purgatory.
Eventually, after some 'loose conduct' to help ease the pain, you find life begins to pick up pace. You no longer miss the busy schedule dedicated purely to one Organization. You feel like an outsider still though. You might as well sit outside and look in on celebrations such as Birthday's and Christmas. There is a feeling in the pit of your stomach now though, that everything will be okay, so long as you can justify your new way of life and find answers. Your certain there are answers out there, but you musn't rely just on what the internet says. You need solid evidence and you won't rest until your holding it.
You may have toyed with the idea of attending Church, but you worry will only isolate you further from your remaining friends who are still in the truth. They won't condone you fratenizing with Christendom. You may as well tattoo 666 on your head. Church could be your methadone though. A substitute for the meetings. Don't rush you tell yourself, that decision can wait. (Actually it can, forever if needs be).
The odd Brother and Sister express their concern. They've not seen you at the Kingdom Hall for a while and there are rumours flying around that your reading apostate literature. What do you do? Lie and say that you know that they have the truth or try and justify yourself? It's a pressure you don't need. Go on, just one meeting to keep them off your back. It won't hurt.
Stood in the Hall, you look around feeling worse than ever. You feel disjointed, and out of place. Everyone is friendly enough, but you feel like there's a wall surrounding you. Something doesn't feel right, maybe it isn't the truth, or maybe your in the wrong and not the organization? When pressed, you can't seem to summon the courage to explain your reasons for 'disappearing' and even worse, you haven't yet found anything to back-up your decision, that is except for those articles on the true destruction of jerusalem and information on false predictions by the Watchtower.

IF you've read this far, all i want to say is this. Life is to be embraced. Whether you believe in God or not, nothing is black and white. The world is beautiful. Sure, there is violence and some scary things to deal with but with the right approach you can handle anything. There are answers and if you are patient and read with an open mind the truth will become apparent.

by snowbird inher son, jesse, is in serious condition.. my son is in surgery and may lose his hand and arm.. jesse got an infection in a cut on his finger.
his finger and hand swelled to the size of an arm .. .
they have to do surgery on his hand and arm.

not only is he getting good medical attention FHN, but he has an excellent mother. that alone i am sure will give him the strength to get through all the pain and drama. i wish him and yourself all the best. x

I too have likened being in the Society to the works of George Orwell. 1984 struck a cord with me, and described certain aspects of my life that other people could not understand.

i only came on here to meet new people and have chats etc...yes i am a jw and do love jah.....but im also just an average person who im pretty sure many of you would get on with if we had the time to chat about other things too.... i think some want me to go....sad but yes true.....if you all want me to go then i'll do that..im fine with it as i just want to please people...... i know jb and some say they want to go to my elders,and honestly im fine with that but surely if someone is threatening then they clearly dont want me on here...... time to go???????
or as big brother would say "who goes...you decide"?

I'm sad you feel 'outed', i hope this passes.
From the perspective of us Ex-Members, we just want you to feel as we do and discover 'the other side' of life and the Witnesses. Not to cause hurt but to educate, letting you see things as they truly are. Sadly the world is not Black and White, there is knowledge out there that would 'rock your world' so to speak.
It is your responsibility to choose your future, we shouldn't try to influence your feelings toward the Society, but as a genuine follower of God, you should seek to find the truth.
Regardless of your faith, welcome, please stay and participate.

i think your question is an important one for Jehovah's Witnesses as well, who worry by leaving the Organization there is nowhere else to go for them. there may not be a set place, and a busy schedule but life can be much more fulfilling.
